I've played this game from the very beginning believe me I can understand your frustration. Yesterday for the first time I tried an MMO that i have ever played and as I kept exploring areas and seeing of the things you can do all I kept think was:"If only MXO had this.........."Exactly, Crowlos.. exactly!
1st time MMOer's look around see what's out there and get to play another MMO for a while and see what exactly you're missing, because there's so much more going on out there things that MxO could have had it just been another company that had signed the title that is not the case so that's why I'm leaving.Noes! Do keep in touch Syn makes me sad to see another vet of the community go.You should leave too, and show that you want more from the company that what they provide as "enough". (new servers that don't lag would be a minimum) - Revolution baby, Revolution.

Oh No! Syn!
*Understands where he is coming from*
Aww another great player lost.
Make sure you either come back and visit or stay in touch!
You will be greatly missed on Vector!

So show your support for the game you wish could be vastly improved, instead of quitting in defiance of the company which would need more subscribers to perhaps one day facilitate a budget-review (pipe-dream, yes). It's not consumer bases perogitive to show support for a game and system that passive aggressively decides how much support its going to show for it on a daily basis. You cant expect people to be motivated and positive when the actual staff cant even be some days for good reason.
Seems a little overly, but 'tis entirely your prerogative. Good luck.
It's been a ride up and down in this game for sure.

privaronT wrote:Thanks, ex. and I understand where you're coming from as well, but I've been subbed on this game for 3 years straight on more than one account and I see SOE milking me and y'all for very little content and lack of server quality, so as I said I'm just quitting on that notion and that's not aimed at the Dev.. ugh.. the one and a half we got. Deep respects to Rare and Dracomet, but it's just business as usual from SOE, and I'm going to a game (Warhammer Online) where the Dev's actually got time to play with the players and isn't under constant pressure to deliver content because they're not understaffed and so on and so on... Rare sitting and fixing animations a year and a half after cr. 2 was implemented.. um.. ??? That's 10000 aminations, man! See where I'm coming from? The only way it can get better is exactly to quit, I mean if there was hired another Dev so Rare could actually focus on his story and his art and the Live events could be alot more interactive.. I mean ffs he even had to close the ask a dev thread because of time issues, so... yeah.. I don't condone a company which is as big as Sony that isn't supportive of their customers or the personel working for them.. um yeah that was it. /endrant. Keep ya head to the sky! Correct, it's not the prerogative of the consumer to do anything but buy the product. My point was that it seems a little superfluous to leave based on the reasons stated.
It is the consumer's prerogative to quit, however, and 'tis a shame to see another go. I reiterate my prior good luck.

Oh the days I've been told about with Niobe or Morpheus coming up to you somewhere out of the blue and asking you to get ready for a quick meeting half and hour later or running into the Assassin just out taking names, I mean.. those days are gone and even though I never were a part of those days I know that EVERYONE that was would love to have them back and still misses them (because frankly that was next generation MMO's right there (apparently SOE wasn't willing to try that though.)... and LESIG is doing what they can with what they got, deep respects to the players taking the time for no pay at all.. *cough* yet another issue that I won't get into as I'm getting close to the *snip* *snip* by them mods., but at the end of the day it's Warner Bros' license and they have apparently decided to (Unlike Lucas Arts) not support the title with a big funding, I personally don't see how you can treat a triology which was so big in 2003 and even a philosophical one about what we percieve as real... guess that's why I'm a teacher and not a big shot in Hollywood, huh?

Whats to say thats not been said by the rest... You well be missed Syn this is true and i know why your going but as you said to me the other night there is just somthing about this game and that why us old timers are still here. I do hope to see you come back and if you dont be for you go can i have your stuff lol J/k on the stuff part. As i do hope to see you come back.

Godspeed operative...
things are certainly taking a sad turn lately..not many people left..

give this game new servers, Virrago! if anything then give MxO players top class servers that can run the game as it was supposed to be run. (when I sit and watch old clips of movement from closed beta testing on youtube the servers there has no lag on the moves and the game seems so smooth) You'll be back and you know it ![]()
Come on what other game can you hyperjump in and also have close combat. We all love to hate SoE but at the end of the day, the game is still running. I don't think sayin buy new servers or i'm quiting is gonna work unfortunatly.

I tend to agree. The only other comparative contemporary MMO out there for remarkable 'powers' is CoH/CoV. And I've played them to death. But there's something special about MXO, I've come to learn. I can't put my finger on it, but I think it has something to do with the gritty realism - ironic as that may sound - of the premise.
So. Taking a break is always a good idea. But you'll feel a stirring in the blood soon enough, and you'll find yourself swallowing a red once more. And it'll still be here for when you do.

Syn, my dear...you cannot go !! It is forbidden. It would be like Vector is losing an arm or a leg without you !
Unfortunately, even if we all upped sticks and left, SOE would only stand and wave our sorry butts goodbye....
So broken servers and broken game ftw !!
Play on !
<3
Yep, I'm going to leave the game, no it's not because of you all (the players, Rarebit; Virrago, 9mmfu and Walrus) it's because of the continued bad customersupport and bad serverlag that goes through on *all* of SOE's game's their entire business strategy is screwed and vile, (and I refuse to keep supporting that kind of behavior in the mmo industry) and I speculate that members of the original LET MXO team at times is/or were unhappy with the license falling in the hands of SOE, some might see this as a NightTrace post and and I'm sure this post will be removed for speaking negatively about SOE and their business policy of having the cheapest servers for their games to make the highest profit from each account subscribed, anyway without further a-do I am out, it's been fun guys, seeing all the pvp and this game was one of my first MMO's (Anarchy Online was subbed a few days before that,) But yeah.. MxO stuck for over three years, and it's solely because of the efforts from LESIG and Rarebit at keeping the game interesting. So when the sub runs out I'll be out of the Matrix for good.
Cya all in a game from another company.
I think most others will agree, that your not allowed to leave...I second that you will be missed one of the few People who a ctaully enjoy Rp on this server you will be missed alot

Simply because we love what this game stands for, and what it is; Different.Come on what other game can you hyperjump in and also have close combat.
