I would have never of thought Murray would have played this good. He did well in wimbledon but was crap in the olympics. Whereas Nadal he has just been unstoppable for the past year or so.
Fed is losing it i think, after wimbledon and then the olympics, he hasn't been on his top game for awhile.
Fed has been better in the US open than he's been for most of the year, but if murray battles past nadal tomorrow, he has an awesome record against Fed. The problem would be Fed will have had more rest coming up to the final.
They've stopped play till tomorrow now for Murray and Nadal, im praying that Murray will come out and play like he has done today, otherwise there's definitely a chance for Nadal to come out and take the win..
Well Murray is favoured on the clay courts, and he was getting tired towards the end tonight, so hopefully tomorrow he'll come out refreshed and it will take Nadal awhile to get into the game like it did do today.
I agree with you on Fed he was looking good today and i reckon would have a big boost in confidence about tomorrow now.
Regardless of who makes it to the final it'll be a good game, though i hope Murray gets there. xD
The match hasn't finished yet, it got delayed due to the rain, it's scheduled to be on again at 4pm Eastern, 9pm BST on Sunday. But up until the rain delay the score was:
6-2 7-6 (7-5) 2-3
Murray is two sets up, but down a break of serve in the third. So that's why it's going to be interesting, and why i'm also worried about the rain delay. It's definitely going to favour one of the players, whether Murray can come out playing like he did this evening and finish the job, or Nadal comes out guns blazing and turns it around, but surely bringing back 3 sets without dropping one to Murray will be too hard, even for Nadal!
Yeah I hope Murray owns Nadal...let's hope the delay doesn't hurt him. If he does this will be the first time a Brit has gotten to the finals of a Slam in a while...don't think Henman ever got past the Semis... Despite my English half, I'll probably still root for Federer in the finals...just cause he is awesome... and its cool to see someone win 5 in a row
I haven't watched anyone in particular since Andre Agassi droped out at the last open due to his back, yes he lost the match but if he were in his prime there would have been no way of him loosing, right now I suppose I'm watching Novak Djokovic. Seems like he might be going places right now.
That was brilliant, Murray really did kick Nadals butt.
Tomorrow night Fed V Murray. Murray has a good record against Fed it should be a really good game, especially if Murray plays like he has done the last 2 days.
Federer had the extra days recovery and the extra days preparation to study Murrays game and work on tactics. He took that advantage, Murray wasn't up to the same standards as yesterday because Federer didn't let him. Oh, and Federer can play a bit too.
