Since the Oracle is dead, shouldn't this cinematic no longer be shown after you leave the tutorial, as she would not be able to talk to you?

Another thing they should do is remove the "Just close your eyes and think of the Oracle" line NPCs say in missions.

That line isn't too bad as it really "works" whether the Oracle is alive or not. It actually sounds a little better now that she is dead.

Or, it could be something that happened in Chapter 1.1, 'cause it's the 1.1 cinematic.

Still, this doesn't apply to new redpills who are recently freed. as a cinematic is ok, but not as a welcome video.
I agree with Mathalos, this video should be removed or modified. Is a good vid tough, but it doesn't fit in the storyline anymore.

It is a bit of an anachronism. She references the truce, and Sati's there, too.
I think it should stay.
For anyone jacking in the first time, it's a familiar face to see the Oracle there. I'd think it would make it immerse you deeper into the game.
It's more of a nit-picky thing for us vets that know better than to believe the Oracle is really there smoking a cigarette still in her apartment. Like when Seraph was missing in the Aqueduct and a few complained that the Stat Hack mission contained a missing person.

This issue also applies to the fact that is the Commander Lock who salutes you in the mission Meet Niobe.
It would be good to hear Commander Roland's voice saying how he took charge and what's Lock's luck (?)

My roommate just began a trial in MxO and I was watching as he went through the tutorial and the video began to play. It really brought back some good memories and feelings to watch cinematic 1.1 in full quality. Why they don't just have all of the cinematics through 4.3 use the ingame engine is beyond me...
But on the topic of having 1.1 modified? I know it won't happen, but I also don't find it necessary... she's dead, but an incoming player doesn't need to know that when beginning the game, and nor is it really specifically *just* for them (considering no character is shown).
