Weird, it only happens when dxt compression is added in. Huh. Nice thing is that it avoids that aliased edging you get on the completely clear glasses.
Now *three* new pairs of glasses is something my current quest's scheme doesn't fit comfortably. Hm... What to do, what to do...
I think because any dxt, other than a dxt1, packages itself as containg an alpha channel, so even if it's left blank and asked not to use any bits to store data, it is still trying to be accessed by the rest of the file.
A 3Dc may may be of use, which works best with a dxt5, as it helps create lighting on an otherwise matte surface - a lack of which may be creating the "mirrored" effect on the shades.

Let's make a few new versions of Agent Pace to model the dilemma for us, shall we?
"Nice" Pace (you've seen her before, although I have fixed up most of that nasty pixelization around the rims of her glasses)
"Dark" Pace (she's been around)
"Smoky" Pace (like the Valkyrjar in the IR)
"Mirrored" Pace
[Gah, this image absolutely refuses to upload. Maybe the internet will love me more tomorrow.]

They are falling out of the sky aren't they? So is this what you were hinting at during that panel @ FF?
They look pretty hawt on Pace!
Valkyr looks better without the clear glasses for sure! It takes away their powerhouse feel when you can see their eyes too much.
Mirrored shades OMG is that possible to have female mirror shades that buffed now?!! o.O *giggles* Need to buff the Voids too then won't ya?

Rarebit wrote:Yeah, it's probably something like that. Little quirk comes in handy in cases like this. Dxt and a couple more obscure ones are the only compression schemes our engine supports, though.Weird, it only happens when dxt compression is added in. Huh. I love the Pace glasses and have been wanting them as much as anyone since we first saw them but....
I have so fallen for those mirror glasses! <3
I can't make up my mind... I <3 all three!
But I have been wanting the clear Pace glasses since PHOREVER!
Sons of the gods, today we shall die, open Valhalla's Door...
I guess this makes us all Einherjar?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Einherjar
In Norse religion, the einherjar or einheriar were spirits of warriors who had died bravely in battle. From Old Norse, the name means "one-harrier" (herja meaning "to harry / lay waste"
. Thus it can be interpreted as "one-army-ers", "one-man-army", "army of one", or "outstanding fighter", but might also signify "those who are all [now] in one army", because when alive on earth they were in various armies and bands, but now they are all in the Army of the Dead.
After they die, the valkyries escort half of the slain from the battlefield to Valhalla (these are the "einherjar"
, which is part of Asgard (commonly described as the "Norse Heaven"
; the other half went to Fólkvangr (Freyja's hall). The Grímnismál describes Valhalla as having five hundred and forty doors, and through each of them, eight hundred could march abreast (a hundred, hundrað, in Old Norse could mean either 100 or 120), indicating the size of the hall and the numbers of the einherjar.
From that line that is in blod and under lined the white halls can play a roll in the quest that Rarebit is making for the Valkyrajs, cause the whit halls have many doors and Valhalla is describe to have 540 of them. heh either way i cant wait to see what's there story is about.
My interest is piqued...can't wait to see more on this.Agreed.

w00t this is more like it. Fair enough new constructs are nice and all but there is so much within the MegaCity itself. The gear better have good buffs.
p.s. Whats with gear like the pink GI, merv coat etc not have decent buffs? For a lvl 50 the res should at least be 30 pts ![]()
Can't wait, big fan of the mythological references in the Matrix in general.Yep, we don't have enough

hmm wonders what todays shall bring
Ohh, right. Hm./tapsphoot

Guh... Couldn't even remember what the darn buffs I put on the things do. If only it said somewhere obvious in-game whether the "duration bonus" influences mean they reduce your state own time, or increase your target's. >_< Oh the time I waste trying to look things up. (For future reference, it's your target, stupid. :p)noted.
Looks like if there is one for this week... it will have to be delayed till the morning./cry
Sorry.
