Well, I just got through reading Watchmen, by Alan Moore (of V for Vendetta fame).  Incredible book.  Anyway, it occured the character, Dr. Manhattan, looked kinda like Halborn.  So I took the audio from the trailer for the upcoming movie and... well, see for yourself.

Oh, and here's the original trailer, for comparison purposes.

Nice work, man! The timing was very good, especially when Halborn stood there having taken out the Agents. SMILEY

That was really really well done.  Very nice!

. . .

Whoa.

WHOA!

You couldn't have picked better clips from the cinematics to fit the audio, and you're right about Halborn resembling Dr. Manhattan: when he first showed up, he reminded me of *someone* (I'd read "Watchmen" some months before the Chapter 9 series of MxO), but I couldn't place who it was.

And putting the image of the Assassin during lines "The world will look up at us..." etc, is perfect: I wonder if Chadwick, et al got the Assassin's look from Rohrshach.

Star, that was *CENSORED* amazing and I obviously do not care if that gets filtered, because everybody knows what I'm talking about.

There's a new trailer out! Guess I'll have to make an MXO-ized version of that, too.

Man... they really used every trick from the Wachowskis' book on the Matrix look in this movie... *Not* doing an MxO trailer based on this would be a crime.

Done, its uploading now. I don't think its quite as good as my previous one, but I'll leave that to you guys to decide.

While I agree the first was a tad better, they are both your best pieces of work to date, Star.  SMILEY

There's a new trailer, so I guess you know what that means - my new mashup is uploading now.

Pretty good as always. Kudos.

Those are awesome.

#36300549031 03/05/2009 15:24:28 Re:The *other* Watchmen

The movie's finally out tomorrow.  I'd hoped that they'd have released one last trailer, but they didn't. Well, besides the Japanese one and the Comic Con footage but... neither of those seemed really mxo-able. That, and my amount of free time's been really diminished.

However, this is the coolest thing... ever.  So I just had to take a stab at it. Uploading now.

Too bad when you go to this now, this comes up -

"This video contains an audio track that has not been authorized by WMG. The audio has been disabled."

Why am I just now seeing this!?

They disabled the sound on your first video, is there any other way I could maybe see it since I didn't see it way back when?  The rest of them are awesome!

#36300549042 03/05/2009 15:39:09 Re:The *other* Watchmen

Well, if they don't want free advertising, that's their right. You can just sync that up with the real trailer, as its the same audio.

The last real trailer? Starts off with Prophecies by Phillip Glass. Then Pruit Igoe, also by Glass. Finally, its Take a Bow by Muse.
