I read that WB wants to reboot the Superman franchise rather than make another sequel to Superman returns. I don't think this is a half bad idea. It REALLY worked for Batman, and i hear it worked for The Hulk (I haven't seen the second one yet).
It got me thinking about what villains should be in this one. I think the story should focus on how Superman became Superman, but there has to be some sort of villain in it. I haven't read all the comic books, I had a look at all(?) his villains here.
Ultra-Humanite - I think this one could work. It's the first villain Superman came up against. Makes sense if we're starting over.
Lex Luthor - I loved the last Luthor. He was more dark and evil then the Hackman ones. But, Luthor has been the main villain in 4/5 Superman movies. Come on. Maybe they could do something like TwoFace here. Where they show the two as friends, Superman makes him bald and so on.
Toyman - I actually liked this guy in the Doomsday movie. Although, he did strike me as a bit of a Pedophile.
Brainiac - Maybe..
Doomsday - Totally deserves it's own movie. I think we can all agree on that. Thought the Animated movie was awesome.
Gog - You know, this could work. Maybe he comes to this dimension to try and stop this superman, or something.
What would you like to see, and not like to see in this one then? I just hope they don't make it all goofy, which i don't think they will Now that The DK has set the bar.
