Got off work a couple hours ago and finally got to playing lol so far the games great I've having alot of fun. I have a few more questions now.

1. I picked up some kind of LED Box and it flagged me for pvp, I dropped the box but I'm still flagged for pvp i think. How do I unflag?

2. I've been sticking to Operative and mostly close combat martial arts abilities. However when the mob moves away from me my toon automatically switches to her gun and starts shooting and I have to manually unequip the gun to make her go back to fighting with fists again. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong? Is there a way to set it up so instead of doing this your toon will just attempt to close in again and keep hitting them with fists rather than switching to her gun?

3. While typing out my characters background ingame I think I hit a limit because I couldn't type anymore. Is there a way to increase the amount of space you have for backgrounds? I am a huge fan of fiction and I love writing backgrounds for all my characters but theres not much you can do in that limited amount of space.

I have more but these are the only 3 that are really nagging me atm. Oh yes my RSI is on Syntax and her name is Aerisrose, not sure if this is needed but her bluepill name is Aeris Angel. Looking forward to meeting some of you ingame SMILEY

What you picked up was a luggable, an in-game 'capture the flag' type item. It gives you buffs and flags you for pvp, so long as you are the last person that held it.
Once you are flagged for pvp, you'll remain thus until the timer wears off (about 5min).

You are talking about style-switching. I'm not an expert on this, but if you have a gun in inventory and you use a gun ability, then your style will switch from hand-to-hand to gunfighting. Really, it doesn't matter either way at the early levels; you do about the same amount of damage with both (provided you don't have a really crappy gun).
I'm probably way off on this though.

Backgrounds in your character details have a set limit that can't be changed. The good news is that you have a really great outlet for your character fic here on these forums. Just find the "Next Renaissance" forum for Syntax and post your story there!

1) You will remain flagged until either someone else picks up the box (and takes the buffs) or you relog.

2) When you hit the firearm free fire button you set it to automatically keep firing. The game remembers this while you're in interlock and will go back to firing if an enemy rolls out on you. You have to close the distance yourself if you want to get back into interlock but don't forget you can use melee as free-fire instead of a gun if you like.

3) There is a limit to background size, yes, but it's enough to link to where you have posted the whole story ;)

This is wrong, Cad. You stay flagged until the timer wears off or you relog. Someone picking up the box doesn't drop your pvp flag.

Actually now that you mention it, someone else has to pick it up, then you have to wait five minutes and then you will unflag.

About the background question. You can always edit it to delete some unnecessary words and make some changes anytime you want.

Go to the blue button next to your compass and then select 'Background'.

I'm not sure what's the limit, my BG is kind of short. But I've seen a lot of interesting stories.

To see the Backgrounds and profiles of the other redpills, right click on them and select 'Details'
