My guess is you look like the Sleepwalker to the right of pic.

Phantasms are the Cyph's public FM-1500?

I'm guessing the blue shifts and phantasms are what you give in for the clothing items.

Is that a Half Life reference?
#36300483798 07/30/2008 15:32:21 Re:Image Retrieval - July 30, 2008
Well you can see a blue evasion style grid... I'm going to go with having a blue bubble around you for 6 seconds... but do you swallow the blueshift or something else, like smashing it on the ground a la flash bomb...?

With these new Blue Shift pills, I'll be able to win one roll at the most with those extra points of defense, as long as I time it right! Thank goodness for 4 second interlock rounds.

#36300483916 07/30/2008 22:56:33 Re:Image Retrieval - July 30, 2008
I want to look forward to it, but several questions come to mind: Will I have to grind for the new stuff? If so, how much? And finally, is it really worth the time and effort for the buffs, or the appearance? The recent content (ninja stuff, commando stuff, SSR stuff [not as bad], even back to the corrupted stuff) has been answered that last one with a disheartening "no". I hope the answer's different here.

Somehow I think the physics concept came first.

Looks like some interesting stuff. I do hope it won't take a million and a half years to get it, though.

And just so nobody makes another dumb comment.  Half Life isn't just a game as well.

Indeed. Our beloved multiple-GOTY Half-Life would not have had its name without the radioactive deacy formula.

On Topic: Like I said, whether or not I look forward to these items depends on how rediculous an effort I have to potentially go through to get them.

*Droooools* Team MxO I'd like to say that this ROCKS! Sleepwalkers, oh Jeebus! I mean I joined a few months before the Big Live Event and it was the most insane time I've ever had in MxO with meetings and shootings and just this whole feel was insane, I remember running around the Uriel light machines around Richland to investigate if one had a lever to pull and if they could go blue lights to help the Sleep Walkers as I believed their cause somewhat delightfull and crazy! Later the real lights came and I learned how hard they were to turn off SMILEY By the way we need another Big 3-4 day live event with stuff made for it specificlySMILEY I know you're going to decline but that's not to say that we don't need it SMILEY *waves and droools some more while looking at pictures of blue cypherites and wondering if there's a closing time on Sati's playground or if one could live in there forever being a blue cypherite* SMILEY

I agree with Syn big events like the sleepwalkers one would be UBER cool!

Looking forward to this update!!

I really hope that those aren't the Cyph FM-1500 equivalent, because the buffs are pretty much useless compared to Clamors. SMG's are currently used in a fashion that really invalidates the damage rating, because people want a cheap state, and not just mosquito bite ticks of damage.

It's always been a giant point of annoyance to me that the Gun buffs are so watered down that the type of gun for the most part really doesn't matter with a few exceptions. The Gunman tree is plagued with all sorts of bugs, so it would make sense to me if Guns had significant effects depending on the the type so that you could diversify your fighting style. At this point, it's the only thing that I can really think of that would really make the tree stand out. It would be like a complete class revolution.

Other than that, the Blue Shift, while given appropriate defense ratings, should have its use timer extended to at least 20 seconds and the reuse timer upped to a few minutes. It should be usable in interlock as well, seeing how that's the only time when people are going to want to use it.

Lets say that you're getting attacked by a Hacker, with an impending Sniper Shot. That would be the perfect time to use it, assuming that you're in interlock and can't just move away from the Sniper. The first thing that people try to do when outnumbering you is to get you in interlock so that you can't run away. What's the point of using the item if you're out of interlock, if you can just run and not waste it? If someone infects you with a powerless, it's useless anyway so it seems like another botched attempt at content that really could've been extremely useful.

Here's to hoping for decent clothing at least.

Do we know yet if the blue shift is a reusable item or a consumable?

I was under the impression that it was a consumable at first, but I saw the "requires Awakened" on it later on. Even still, use in interlock is sort of mandatory.
