Checking if enough people are interested to read not only this long title but also a pvp event

Ever since the release of Datamine I thought I could host the List (if anyone would remember...) again, because I still like the setup for the event and it'd work perfectly in Datamine. But the first (and last) time I hosted it, I had to cancel the event due to a lack of players showing up.

So the event is pretty simple. Everything but Master Shadow is allowed. You sign up, pay the entry fee for each round and you'll get an email with 1 name just before the event starts. You have an X amount of time to kill that player and inform me that you've succeeded (screenshots aren't necessary but can help when people tell lies). Everyone who succeeds will go on to next week's round. If you fail to kill you're disqualified. Eventually, only 1 player should be left and he/she wins the jackpot. The event can end, theoratically in 1 round or can continue for a whole year. The jackpot will be a lot higher if people continue to succeed killing every week.

So, I am curious to see if enough people are interested to pvp once a week in Datamine. Dates and times can change per week, and I can check per week if enough people can make it so I can delay or host the event sooner.

Old thread. The one rule that will be adjusted is to get the CQ on your name. I'll settle with just getting the kill on your name. Everything else is allowed: Teaming up, zerging, ganking, all trees exept Master Shadow, pills, boosters, etc. etc.

This time it'll be hosted in Datamine so you might be set up against your own organisation and maybe even your faction mates.

I was thinking of a 2 million entry fee per round. I might farm a headgear or throw some extra info in the jackpot. There will be no second place prizes.

Yeah, that's the idea: Being hunted while hunting but you don't know who's hunting you. So every player you'll see can be the guy who wants to kill you.

Last time I put every name on a list, put the org next to it and assigned that same list of players to match, without the orgs mixing up. This time I won't have to worry about the orgs so it'll be a lot easier. So you get like:

Player1 - Player2
Player2 - Player5
Player3 - Player1
Player4 - Player3
Player5 - Player4

...if that makes any sense.

Last time I kept a text file with all the matches so I tried to give people a new target every new round, if possible. I will do so again this time. The text file also noted who paid and didn't pay, who signed up but didn't show up. Pretty standard but well organised. Still made mistakes though, lol - But without orgs it'll be a lot easier to keep everything up to date.

I might consider hosting the event on other servers too if it'll turn out to be popular. Though I have no characters so I'd need some sponsors.

From what I heard, this was a fun event. I'd do it, but... i'd get my arse kicked.
