Thanks in part to some prodding from our associates close to the media, the bizarre office deaths at Wright Research, and the apparent assault on their servers by "Pendhurst-Amaranth," have taken some headline space away from troubles at Ouroboros, leaving us to bask in relative anonymity while infiltrating that corporation's network.

I'm going to keep the bulk of my anger to myself, which unfortunately is getting exponentially harder and harder to do. But I'm going to say what I said before: No information is so valuable that it has to be bought at the cost of two Bluepill lives. Other means could have been utilized. In the future, I am going to bow out quickly and quietly if I am required to work again with this lowlife *PUNK* who puts such a low value on the lives of harmless civilians, regardless of the fact that the system his very existence depends upon needs their resources -- as far as we can tell untill duly proven otherwise. I have no patience whatsoever with programs of any stripe who place as low a value on the Blues as this code-ape does. Anyone who says otherwise has as low standards as this "Seven", and believe me when I say this: I'm getting tired of being -- by all observations -- practically the only person in the Merovingian's little coterie who has anything vaguely resembling a conscience.

Nothing further, but this is as much as I can say without being tagged for excessive negativity.

(( Quite an event and I'm glad I made it. Rest assured, any and all vitriol is IC.))

Like I said before, your love for bluepills seems like talk of an EPN/CYPH.

Everyone that servers the Merovingian has taken a life of a bluepill.

(Unless you've never done an archive, or critical mission.)

Please take your concerns up with the Merovingian.

Yeah, well, your cheapening of human lives sounds like the thinking of a cheap lowlife who doesn't care about anyone but himself, and I'm sick to death of being practically the only Redpill in the entire freaking organization who thinks about the well-being of others. Keep it up and you won't have to put up with me any more. Believe me, I'm so fed up, it was all I could do to keep from blasting Malphas the other night. I've never killed a Bluepill and please God, I never do.

(( RP-wise, I consider the Archives to be "historical training simulations", and I think that's pretty much been the general consensus among the RPers that I know. I've also deliberately bowed out of criticals that require you to kill a Bluepill.))

Keep it up? I will kill anything that the Merovingian ask me to. 1 or 1,000 bluepills. I'm here to protect this org. and its interest. For you to not kill when asked makes you a NOT a Merovingian, it makes you a traitor, and when asked I will kill you!

"I will kill anything the Merovingian asks me to" -- That sounds like blindly taking orders, which from what I can see, a lot of Machinists do. And if you think you're protecting this org, your attitude is what's likely to cause its downfall. I'm minded of that soldier shouting "Kill them all! Kill them all! Kill them all!" in a certain historical vid in the Zion Archive, and it's a surfeit of that kind of thinking that is making me look for better pastures...

EDITED TO ADD: I hate to bring up my achievements, since I don't want to look like I'm holding them over people's heads, but I have reached second level in the Hovercraft Battles. I hardly think choosing to defend our ships in the Real instead of causing mayhem in the Matrix makes me "a traitor". Here's WikiPedia on "Traitor":

In law, treason is the crime that covers some of the more serious acts of disloyalty to one's sovereign or nation. Historically, treason also covered the murder of specific social superiors, such as the murder of a husband by his wife (treason against the king was known as high treason and treason against a lesser superior was petit treason). A person who commits treason is known as a traitor, turncoat, Judas or quisling.

Oran's Dictionary of the Law (1983) defines treason as: "...[a]...citizen's actions to help a foreign government overthrow, make war against, or seriously injure the [parent nation]." In many nations, it is also often considered treason to attempt or conspire to overthrow the government, even if no foreign country is aided or involved by such an endeavour.

Outside legal spheres, the word "traitor" may also be used to describe a person who betrays (or is accused of betraying) their own political party, nation, family, friends, ethnic group, religion, social class, or other group to which they may belong. Often, such accusations are controversial and disputed, as the person may not identify with the group of which they are a member, or may otherwise disagree with the group leaders making the charge. See, for example, race traitor.

Let's play nice, now.

While I too frown upon the killing of bluepills, the sad truth is that some actions are necessary for the greater good - in this case our success in this mission. We all know the matrix is a dangerous place and I'm sure that our various enemies would take no issue with killing bluepills to overcome us. Keep this in mind and do the jobs that are assigned to us.

I am rising from my supposed deathbed post-surgery and in-recovery to write this...

The Merovingian Organization is different to the others in that he offers choice. If she doesnt wish to kill she will not get PAYED.

This is a business! Not some form of cult. She doesnt have to accept any and all orders blindly. The merovingian appreciates thinkers with a velvet yet lethal blade more then brainless meatshields and brutes.

That is all..

Have a good evening

Couldn't have said it better myself, Tranque. I'm not in this for the money, anyway. I'm a Paladin, not a mercenary or a henchman. I'd rather that my (metaphoric) sword stayed in its sheath and my wallet was a little lighter than usual, than to see that sword stained with innocent blood, just for a few more figures in my account.

You don't have to be a cartoon villain to be a Merovingian.

I view Zion as overly "moral."

I view the Machines as basically "immoral."

I view our org as "amoral."  That's a very large tent.  Within that framework I am free as an individual to act within my own ethical structure.  It's kind of a positive nihilism.  One of the reasons I am an Exilist is that I value all sentient life.   I always want to learn as much as I can about any given situation before I can make an informed decision, the opposite of "shoot first ask questions later."  I just want to better understand the world around me better.  It is dispassionate.  This works for me.  It may not for others.  Mon Patron treats me well and with respect, and he has never chided me for not acting like a cartoon thug in every situation.

Mmm, Zion likes to stigmatize us as being a bunch of Snidely Whiplashes... and it makes me *CRINGE* when I have to work with others who live up to that image, since it winds up reinforcing that bit of propaganda...

I know exactly how you feel.  In fact a couple years ago I confided to our Patron my concerns about his (and by proxy, our) negative image as a simplistic, black-hatted cartoon villain when in reality it is much more complex than that.  You can read a portion of his response to me on my profile.  So, keep that in mind, and know that you're an important counterbalace to the 'Conventional Wisdom' on Merovingians.

There I highlighted it for you. Also your hovercraft rank means JS when you can't follow orders in the matrix.

Let me put it like this, you can cry for the bluepills and say you never killed one but all that does is show you've never got the whole story, you've never seen what a true Merovingian has gone through. The highs and the true lows.

So spout your bluepill love to an org. that understands it. My pockets are full and my heart is black, and my knife is red with the blood of the innocent. Good day.

How is refusing to follow an order that goes against your morals betrayal of the entire organization? I haven't done anything that would constitute a real betrayal: I haven't sold sensitive information to the Machines or Zion, I haven't plotted to assassinate any of the leaders -- I've known one or two would-be Mervs who plotted that and I duly reported it to the liaisons.

I thought being a Merv meant you were free to follow your own moral path as you saw fit, as long as you didn't do anything to deliberately backstab the organization. Being expected to blindly follow orders is a Machine thing, non? I think it's you that is confused, Craint, and you're projecting that confusion onto someone else, because deep down inside, there is a part of you that hates yourself for being that way.

Our org a big tent.  We are free from Machine control and Zion propaganda.  There's no one way you have to be.  Violent thugs, misfits, exilists, individualists, knowledge seekers, whatever ya want to be, its all good.  It is neither moral, nor immoral.  It is amoral.  It is what it is.  People can sort it out for themselves, as long as you don't run completely amok and deliberately backstab the organization.

In fact just look at any of the Mero live events.  Some of them are kill kill bang bang.  Others are finesse jobs.  Sweet talking your way towards a goal.  Its the classic honey vs. vinegar approach.  Carrots and sticks.  In fact Mon Patron said once something to the effect of, "Its better to rule with an iron fist in a velvet glove."  Not an iron fist with brass knuckles.  Different situations call for different approaches.  Some do better at the violent work.  So do better at the charismatic approach (as I like to try to exibit as Villemar).  Kind of like, if you're gonna rob a major casino, do you waltz in the front door with guns blazing, or do you smooth-talk your way in a-la Ocean's 11?   Who would have a better success rate?  Anyways, different strokes for diffrent folks.

My sincere apologies..Craint.. I seem to have forgotton that in.. your omniscient glory... you know all..

Oh wait.. even in time of medical crisis I find... myself able to... utilize sarcasm...

Although you may feel like the ability.. to.. "kill and collect" is... the most important of all.. I prefer, as does my family, and any amount of free thinking.. and fully sentient Merovingian knows... there is more to an organization than.. a strict army.

If you want to be a strict blind follower.. you will have to revoke your status as a leader first...

Regardless.. sieges knows my thoughts on the matter, and Villimar is much more lingually eloquent then I.. in these times.

Maybe you can not read in your state. I never said I know all, I said loving bluepills in EPNish. Pay more attention old man.

And you're are nothing with an army, maybe you should think about that next time you try and talk your way out of getting a bullet in your head.

Loving bluepills is human. Or at least follows human nature. If you have become one of the many sociopaths, so be it, but do not try to taint the visage of those who choose to have a set of moral values that they dictate rather then conforming to the will of a political entity.
