bah hum-bug.  well I don't mean to be negative. sorry damage already done.. just a bit disappointed on the way it went for me in the PG. never even had a chance to get anything..  just .  well nm.

thankx for all you do though RarebitSMILEY but I just think Sati's PG needs a adjustment or something.

I thought that was fun. I had more fun running around rezzing ppl than I probably would have fighting.

Two thumbs up from me. SMILEYSMILEY

Oh come on!

The announcement AND event happened in under 6 hours... while I was in bed, the shower and driving to work.

I guess servers get pop-tests too.

Hm I may have to let this run a little longer than an hour so they can kill you more people have a chance to figure out how to fight 'em. =D

3 healers 1 hacker 1 ma=GG

Shuriken fountain for Mercidos's GM gi ftw.

Alphaea and I did a pretty good job of taking care of those ninjas. She had Upgrade Master loaded healing and buffing myself and her as I had Kung Fu Grandmaster and would take on my spawn while she hyperjumped to deactivate hers. The ninjas would usually attack her while she was healing me, so she started running about in a circle with Accelerate Movement 3.0 which pretty much kept them busy and her alive until I could interlock them.

Got me enough shuriken to get those hobo ninja gloves!

Seems like everyone's experience for the event came down to whether or not they know how to fight the ninjas.

I kinda agree with the people saying some of the stuff is too hard. Yeah, you don't want it burned through right away, but people don't wanna stay here for a massive grind on an item that isn't so much better it makes up for the grind. I know Rarebit doesn't want us all wearing the same thing, and its hard to make lots of good items with a minuscule dev team...I dunno, I wish Dracomet could make some appearance cloak where you equip your buffed stuff on one, and what you want as your appearance in another. If he's still on the team, I'd suggest he try something like that.

....btw, anyone wanna craft me some part of an MA tree? I'll need to go to Datamine to get some more $info, but I'd really like to have a chance at a Gi before my month is up.

Yes, I've made certain my Circle Running 4.0 is leveled to 50.

After the first waves of my ninja and some deatheffects we had very much fun! With a good Team and me as a jumping-Trauma Surgeon... Very successful SMILEY

It is a great idea, tough task und cool experience. I hope that we can have that kind of event each month!

K first off.. I think this was a great event idea!

However, just want to point out one thing. This has about the same basic mechanics of the Smith and Halloween events

IOW, enter an area or run mish, get three NPC's one level higher than you, fight them.

Notice that nobody has ever complained that the Zombies or Smiths are too hard to take one on one. Yet trying to go Mano a Mano against similarly leveled Kunoichi's yields instant death.

Does anyone else see how this confirms just how overpowered the Knife Tree is? Somebody above listed a team of FOUR healers to two attackers to handle this, and they are NPC's !!

Just saying...

Sounds like one great event too bad I missed it SMILEY And I might just add that in other MMO's the healers are quite important vs NPC's it's only in MxO that they're only pulled out in pvp.

EDIT:
I'd go as far as to say that if there would ever come out another tree it should be geared towards a healer/coder tree and not a combat one if we're going to have more cool events like this because it seriously raises the bar on the pve to have the 3 spawns on you there.

So nice of you to post me just before death, since that's what I mainly did in the event!

That was a lot of fun even if we died a lot.

Thanks, Rare SMILEY

I think next time (hint hint!), two Kunoichi per character would be perfect!  The perfect balance of risk v. reward.  With three per you basically have an Abbatoir.  (<--love that word.)
