I'd like to thank everyone who helped us get what we needed from Caacrinolaas, TheSousChef, and the Sculptress.

With the storm and the Machines out there, reaching the no-fly zone isn't going to be easy, but I'm confident that we have the crews to get it done. It seems like that's the place to go for answers: not only about the area itself, which the Merovingian has already made an attempt to penetrate, but also, just who left a copy of the Machine map to that area on a dismantled hovercraft computer in an old maintenance tunnel near old Zion, and why they had the map in the first place.

In lieu of missing this particular operation I would like to make an offer for my HvCFT, the Hand of God, go and explore the no-fly zone. My crew and I are well aware of the risks but we are prepared to do what must be done.

((I am so *CENSORED* pissed I missed this. Stupid job))

What? People in the No Fly Zone!? Thats peculiar! Its almost as if.. as if... there is some form of colony!

Lets all bow to tranque and his all knowing brain.

Sometimes I wonder how you fit through a doorway with a head that big.

Ah stuff it steelle, I'm not the only one who knows about the colony, I'm simply saying that the EPN seems to be a step behind if they are just now catching a whiff of this Colony business. Also, who in gods name are you? Have I ever even interacted with you? You have no right to even inquire as to the extents of my ego if we haven't even held one discussion. Most if not all of the Merovingian organization knows about "them". All it takes is the right ears in the right places and the EPN could have figured it out.

As a person who has interacted with him, might I tell you, Steele, that he does indeed have to finagle his ego through some doorways.

On to the subject of the "no-fly" zone; I wouldn't recommend going to explore that unless you're fully prepared for tactical engagements with superior foes. Just a warning.

Well done EPC! You have successfully completed your mission at above an 85% brain capacity!

Now then I feel as if I should voice two questions that have been plaguing me sense this and every other random and sporadic operation we have been sent on. What do these missions have to do with Neo and his mission let alone our own? What does any of this gain us in solving the fragment of data the Oracle gave us?

Serisouly has command been checked for ADD? I didn't and I know several other members of EPN did not join the cause so we could go running around playing geologist but rather to make a difference and help those who needed help. We have a gift from a program that died soon after giving it to us and we don't so much as check a mainframe to help us solve the *CENSORED* thing let alone talk to someone that knew her but when it comes to random downed hovercrafts we find in the real. By golly we just gotta see which poor saps got blown to kingdom come.

I'm right on the money with good ol' Gami on this one.  I am getting burned out from having to always do operations and such that have little to nothing to do with why I joined EPN in the first place.  I will do what is needed, but in turn I ask our command to review their priorities and perhaps look at why they started this organization in the first place.  Otherwise, we may as well be zionists.

First off, this isn't the first we've heard of it, but I can understand that some find it easy to take pot shots where they can because it makes them feel all warm and tingly. Secondly, we have met. I believe you were one of the Mero ships that sat around and then negotiated rather than fight at the massive hvcft brawl where zion and epn cleaned shop.

And wow wow wow. Lets not say anything we can't take back. Now I understand where you and Gami are coming from, and yeah it can be frustrating not going in the direction we need to but at the same time, you can never write off anything. We don't know where this heads and as such we should carefully investigate it. It is frustrating that it seems all of our resources are going towards it when only say a quarter should be but I am not about to put down my guns just yet. Our command certainly needs to rethink priorities I agree with you there. But I can understand the need to investigate. Perhaps it is because I spend more time in the real than most, but you need to realize that there are threats outside of the matrix too, and this could be a brand new one.

And as for the no-fly zone. I am fully prepared for a tactical engagement with any foe. Superiority is just a state of mind.

We aren't against doing other things Steelle, but it's all we have been doing.

Have you considered that the answers to your questions might be found from this mysterious place? May be the recent missions have more pertinence than first thought....

I have no problem with following leads. My problem is that it is already known what is out there and the General has quiet a few new dents in him that show us what is waiting. A fortified colony of humans that apparently has part of its network set up within the city. But this gets us no where in freeing minds from the Matrix. Also it is wasted effort when we already know of two programs that were in on the Oracles grand plan before her death. Neither of which have even been talked to by anyone from EPN sense. We are off looking for leads when two are already right in front of us. Lets cross those off shall we before we go looking into new ones.

Our general agenda has for far to long been stuck side by side with Zion's. If Zion so much has spelt something funny we are always there soon after confirmed said smell. This is getting tiring I thought we left them for a reason. Not to play investigator for them just under a different name.

Like I said, I do find the current one track mind of our missions frustrating but I am willing to see where this takes us. I would be right there beside you guys no matter what the operation, you guys know that.
#36300474891 07/05/2008 05:12:34 Re:[10.3.1] There may be someone else out there - Syntax - 7/2/08

I think you guys are thinking about this wrongly, To go to a Colony that has alot of Power Technology and it's power to affect The Machines is a goal worth pursuing, as it would help in the freedom of more People from the Oppression of the Matrix, so don't be so quick to discredit the idea.

Also let's face it, The General and his Sentinels are hardly the best thing to combat Hovercraft that posses a Unibody and Missile capabilties, Sentinels have a bad enough time with our Hovercrafts, let alone a more powerful version. I think you guys stand more of chance of succeeding than That stupid Old Bucket of bolts ever did.

#36300474930 07/05/2008 09:29:15 Re:[10.3.1] There may be someone else out there - Syntax - 7/2/08
Like I said I am willing to see where this investigation leads, but there is no need to focus so much on the one thing. We have other goals worth pursuing, like the ones Gami pointed out.

Except that said power has proven harmful to the simulation. Something EPN is not interested in using or spreading the use of. Our mission is not to destroy all machine life or bring the simulation crashing down. It is to give all beings the freedom they deserve. Neo only used what power he had over the machines when needed to but understood that we needed both man and machine in order to achieve true peace.

Also you forget that a sentinel is far more agile then any hovercraft. If a sentinel can't dodge an oncoming attack what makes you think any hovercraft could? In fact these hovercrafts that the colony uses have proven to by far superior to our despite what Steele might want to think. Compared to our own their strength, speed, and durability makes what we operatives use look like a tin cans.

I'm pretty sure when one of those ships showed up at that HvCFT battle they started running when I came their way. SMILEY (Joking of course)

[The following RP is an excerpt from a story posted in the Next Renaissance forums. It takes place immediately following the events depicted in this Live Event post]

. . ."If we wanted to chase ghosts, we could just drop in on the Merovingian," Gami remarked as he turned to stare out the floor-to-ceiling window behind him. "Why waste valuable time on this?"

"Your guess is as good as mine," replied Steelle, who had been studying a copy of the maps. "None of this makes much sense. Like why the hell Zion has never explored this area before? It's only a few hundred miles from here, at best. But, what I really don't understand is the importance of this now. What is Michael thinking?"

"I'll tell you what the Kid is thinking," replied a third voice, from the corner of the room. The voice belonged to Shinpseudo, leader of another of EPN's remaining factions, True Humanity. He stood up from his chair and walked to the desk, his brown leather coat rustling around him. He picked up the glossy folder and slid its contents out on the desk. "This is what he feels Zion should be doing themselves. The prodigal son is attempting to show Daddy how to stand on his own two feet again. Like our attack on the power lines; an attempt to show Zion up. Or maybe an attempt to get us back home?"

"Some of us don't want to go back to that," Gami growled. "Fighting only when attacked. Cowering underground. Waiting for the Machines to figure out a way to go in there and slaughter everyone. It's a stupid way to live."

"Yes, it is - we are all in agreement on that; but let's talk suggestions now rather than complaints. What do you propose we do?" asked Personlll. Shi Xin felt the corners of his mouth twitch upward at the "no-BS allowed" question from the no-nonsense leader of the Winter Brood. "None of us, not one Captain in this room, is the type to run and hide from the fight. None of us like it. But I can promise you one thing; none of the Brood is planning to quit operating under the EPN flag anytime soon!". . .

Whatever happened to looking for Neo's body? Or for Sarah Edmontons? Or dealing with the Cypherites?

Everyone's right. This is getting boring. Get your **** together, Michael. Enough is enough.

Compared to some people in this organization, Tranque isn't that much of a snob or a prig. I can think of a former EPN on the Recursion server who went Merv and as soon as I heard that, I said, "Just what we need: One more egomaniac in an organization already full itself."
