Ok so its nearly 3PM GMT. And with nearly all patches the servers go down at 12 PM GMT and are usually down for 3 hours or so.
As far as I can tell there has been no update to the servers, so what's happening?

Or maybe I'm missing something...

Why is it that SOE always seems to *CENSORED* it up, and no other company has delays in patches?

"This is not those other companies"

If any of you who campaign for more people to this game, have one idea about business, you would know that quote, if it was intended to be used, is naive.

I am very calm, let me show you something:-

World of Warcraft PTR Patch 2.4.3 - Last updated on 06/18/2008

The latest patch notes can always be found at http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/patchnotes/

The latest test realm patch notes can always be found at http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/patc...patchnotes.html

GeneralDruidHunter
  • Growl: Pets will no longer generate additional threat from this ability based on attack power buffs cast on them. Attack power buffs on their master will still indirectly increase the threat generated by the pet's Growl.
  • Pet Aggro: Pets will no longer generate threat immediately from being summoned.
  • Scare Beast: This spell will now be limited correctly to one target.
PaladinPriestRogue
  • Cheat Death: This talent has been rebalanced significantly. Killing blows are no longer 100% absorbed. If the Rogue is below 10% health, the killing blow is still completely absorbed; if the Rogue is over 10% health, enough damage will be absorbed to reduce the Rogue's health down to 10%. For the following 3 seconds, damage is not always reduced by 90%; it is now reduced by a maximum of 90%, depending on how much resilience the Rogue has. The damage reduction will be four times the damage reduction resilience causes against critical strikes.
ShamanWarlock
  • Curse of Shadow: This spell has been removed.
  • Curse of the Elements: This spell now applies to Arcane and Shadow damage, as well as Frost and Fire.
  • Demonic Sacrifice: This ability will now interact correctly with the Spirit Guide resurrection system in battlegrounds. A sacrificed pet will not be resummoned on death, and will not prevent keeping a record of the most recently created pet.
  • Health Funnel: This ability will now cancel channeling when the target pet is Banished.
  • Ritual of Summoning: The mana cost of this spell will now be properly deducted when cast.
  • Summon Felsteed is now available at level 30.
Warrior
  • Revenge: Ranks 1-5 of this ability now have damage ranges instead of fixed damage values (like ranks 6-8.)
PvP
  • The Warsong Gulch flag can no longer be picked up at the same time as a flag is capped.
ProfessionsQuestsDungeons and Raids
  • Players can now be summoned to raid instances from heroic dungeons.

CUT HALFWAY LOL CAN'T EVEN FIT THE NOTES IN!

I would paste AOC but that's too much for the post count.

No I don't play wow, good example of what there is in their patch notes.

I am not whining, I pay for my game time, and I don't think three fixes is acceptable.

Then why did they release the update without the Sati's Playground huh? There isn't anything else we care in that update. They could release the update next week with the construct.

Negative, at least this way we still get missions and bug fixes.  Better than nothing.
Negative is their patch notes, I am consumer that feels compared to other things in the market, this is not good enough. Please don't say, "Go to those games then and don't complain here" That again is naive, I do like this game, and have been here a long time, it's just petty that after four years there are no major releases. Two constructs... that's it?

When I log on now it's rediculous, two people stood in Mara Central and at peek times.

Bloody hell, how about 9mmfu breaks some parts of the game so when they can fix them we can have bigger update notes? I suspect most of the work done in the last month or so has been aimed towards the new construct.

There is just no pleasing some people.
I'm very pleased SMILEY

Just not at this game SMILEY I do still enjoy my MA tournaments, and some of the community, but the forums seem to be the Mara C atm.... well it always was.

*Laughs at the WoW patch notes.*

That's nothing to be proud of. That all looks like bug fixes to me (what are they doing with so many bugs?), or various fiddly little settings (can they not make up their minds how these things are supposed to work?).

I don't play wow, so I can't answer for them.

Conan have some major patches planned ( I do play that), but they are still young.

The fact they have so much to come says alot. WoW is also MUCH larger than MxO, so you can expect alot more than that, we all also know that regardless of how little are patch notes are for fixes there is a very exploitable system out there, no CQ rewards and the list goes on.

WoW for me wasn't cool, I didn't like the kids too much. They do however have major updates, new expansions. Eve was also dying until they had huge patches. This game has big patches every so often, but not major patches.

A good thing to point out is this:-

Conan: - No Killing awards, planned for release in the summer.
MxO:- No CQ awards, 4 years out, and no plans.

Edit: The fact I'm on these boards talking about this, and not ingame is another statement of the games activity SMILEY

This is a really old debate, though, so I'm not sure why you're bringing it up again. MxO failed as an MMO - we know. It still has a loyal (if very small) fanbase, but SOE has allocated a team of three and a half people to work for MxO and won't put any money in to do anything grand. We know this, and there's nothing we can do about it.

Just enjoy what we have and what the Devs manage to add to the game, which is far from nothing.

An old debate that will continue amongst the veterans and new players alike. To enjoy what we have? I run events every now and again, and I appluad the brains of Algorithm and so forth who make this game enjoyable, but as for the content, apart from the duelling/pvp we are mainly stand around an internet chat room.

You can only play monopoly so many times.

The Devs have given us a lot of content over the past few months especially. If people aren't playing it, that's the players' fault. Apparently we get bored easily. But you cannot say the Devs haven't tried. They're still trying now, with Sati's Playground! What else are they supposed to do?

True, but how long does this content really last? A week at best of work? There is no faction progress system through the game, such as massively hard instances or something. I am not a fan of instances so not a massive miss for me SMILEY However some games have a Guild City, something where players can gather and spend a long time working on something together. My AoC guild is working very hard to afford our city, and I know we do have a hallway key, it would be nice for more group like things.

These news releases are good, but they are not durable, tough at best, but I suppose the combat system has something to answer for that, but even now I can think of ways to make things exciting not just different construct, same farming.

As I said earlier, you can only play Monopoly so many times.

And yes I do care about that game, that is why I am complaining on the forum. Yes we have heard it, yes the Devs are aware, but it's silly that this seems repetitive. If moaning about your game is repetitive on these boards that's a worrying alarm bell.

As for the database, I hear the devs cannot work it... so why are they working on this game. Rarebit works hard, but if the Devs really have no idea what they are doing on the database... no wrong phrasing, if they devs have some issues in certain areas, then why are they even working on this game?

I am not questioning their ability, and I doubt that they will give us more devs, especially at it's death knell that we sit in at the moment. I for one, will never play another SOE game, a promise that I have had for a long time, even when my faction has begged me to join them in games like Planetside.

The fact I feel it's pointless to fight for this is annoying, and pure evidence of the chance that we will recieve anything is next to nothing.

I will continue playing this game about 10-15 hours a week, now it is my part time game, and not full time like Conan. I will continue to hope that the Devs actually listen and get out their fat arses to learn the database and answer questions and concerns like this, and yes I am talking to your messiah Rarebit.

I appreciate their work, I am not spoilt, and respect the hardwork they have done, but things are not right. I am done here, as this is an update discussion, and my words are gearing off topic.
