It adds Toughness, 10% for 1800 seconds, which is 10 pts. of resistance to Viral, Ballistic, Melee and Thrown, it has no visual effect, and I could probably find a lowlevel piece of clothing that gave more resistance than that.
I'd like for it to have a visual effect at least, maybe change the buffs a bit? As far as I remember, the item has been around since CR1, and there hasn't been done anything to it.
Can it not be used on top of your clothing resistance? If so, this gives an extra 10pts over someone with the same set of clothing but without the Hardware Req.
A subtle visual effect would be nice though, at least people will be able to see when it's being used.
It's basically a bonus to resistance to all, as you said 10 points, which apply ontop of anything else you have on.
The item has been around since the beginning, but like many other things if you don't have one, your not likely to get one, since it can not be farmed etc. So you can have all your clothing and add more resistance from an item which uses no buffer space, I think most who don't have it, want it.
Maybe they could give it a visual effect, but unlikely, as its bonus on resistance is its big selling point.
My question is why does EVERYTHING have to have an effect added to it??
It seems that those who don't have it care more about having these sort of things show up with effects, so THEY know you have it and can scream "OMG j00 cheated, j00 have ZHR, GOTS, MB"
The fact that we as veterens have VERY FEW items we can appreciate and be proud to have is bad enough without ruining it by adding effects to them.

I started playing at the beginning of Blue Sky, so I missed all that so I thought I would come buy the feelings and good times some of the Beta players did back there with a full LET and stuffs.

Yet when my mervs Boon just disappeared into thin air i was told i could not get another 1. As it could not be recreated or some rubbish. Now new ones fly out of no where.
Yeah, it would be nice to see an effect to it.
