Hey!

Started playing MxO around launch on Syntax and played for a couple of months until my crew disbanded and left for swg years ago. Soon followed and haven't really looked back until last night when I came across my MxO-cd while cleaning out the apartment and started remembering all the fun we used to have. Don’t know if anyone from the old crew still plays. The crew was called “The Darkhold redeemers” with a captain called Dirnt and if memory serves me right the faction was called “Aphrodite’s vengeance” or something to that extent and we used to be all about following Morpheus secret orders.

Anywho, just logged in and realized I don’t have the slightest what is going on or where to turn to. I’m lvl 34 and could really need someone willing to take me under their wing and show me the ropes. Don’t know what to do really for experience and fun. Run missions? Remember vaguely some kind of instances in like old temples? Considering starting over with a new char since logging in with my lvl 34 was a bit overwhelming.

So if somebody could maybe point me to where I might find a fun loving zioncrowd who likes to RP on occasion but don’t take themselves too seriously and patient enough to show a new player around that would be great. Preferably with some European players mixed in so that I have someone to play with daytime. Really stoked to give this game another go.

Welcome back operative..

Thanks. It's good to be back. Decieded to start over with an operative called Byrom. Will be playing him atleast until I get the feel of it and then maybe switch back to Knatch. But I always loved the beginning part of the game when you first get your new game-altering abilities (still remember my first hyperjump).

So if you have a new alt that need somebody to run missions or whatnot with or if anyone just wants to chat give me a shout if you se me running by (probably being chased by mobs). Will probably spend the day finding the hardlines in Rich. Thought I saw a link somewhere that had mapped them out.

Indeed you did, Operative. Et voila. Also. Both provided by the Omega Syndicate's reconnaissance archives.

Thank you! Much obliged

And since I already have a thread and can't find the answer anywhere. When is the best time to start tapping acces nodes in Westview? Should I hold out for that until later ingame to get more exp or is the diffrence pretty marginal? I'm lvl 9 at the moment and thought I would atleast wait for hyperjump. Remember teaming up with some friends and doing them at about lvl 11 wich was loads of fun since we were all to low lvl to handle ourselves which meant a lot of precise hyperjumping and coordinated attacks on keyholders. And when should you start doing the archive missions? I'm not a powerlvler by any means but I remember that you were forced to do some pretty tedious grindning midlvl to get anywhere and would therefor want to get maximum expericense from things like this.

Should be good whenever for hacking into the Nodes in Westview for which you already have Access Cards and for Archived missions especially, since they scale the NPCs generated by them to your level.

However, whereas with Standard and Critical missions, you have the chance of gaining positive reputation for whichever organisation(s) they're given out by, with Archives you're awarded only with Experience and Info, aswell as the mission completion tokens which can then be collected and traded for special apparel and visual effect items.

Have fun! ^_~

Thanks mate. One last question though. For what do you need the positive reputation with your faction? Only found something about how your crew can get more equipment or something like that but it didn't state what kind of equipment? Also is there a limit to how much rep you can have/not being able to get more. Like if your'e lvl 50 can't you recive more reputation?

In order to form a crew and / or faction, you would first require + rep for organisation with which you would wish it to be alligned.

As far as extra equipment, as of recently, you can receive bonus items after completing each "Critical Missions" which are usually given out by each organisation each week.

Also, as your level increases, the chance of you receiving another point of reputation after completing the mission, however at around level 9, is not something which should affect you at all.

It is possible to receive "Maximum Repuation" with a certain organisation, though in order to achieve such, one's best chance would lie with working for one organisation (running missions for either Zion, Machines or the Merovingan) as soon as they receive the call for Flood and Agent Gray with an offer of work.
