Scheduled for tomorrow.

Hmm... a title as vague and obfuscating as the word... the smoke from the battle between the General's Sentinels and the Machines...?

Hm... seems like a simple recon mission, but who managed to get past those Dire Lupines and their sensitive noses and what does Mauser have to do with it...? Time will tell...

Seemed pretty clear to me that Mauser overrode a Dire Lupine and used it to sneak past the Merv's sentries. I might be wrong, but judging from these other Override sightings, I wouldn't doubt myself too much.

Typo in second phase operator talk? "The data was listed off a computer..."  I think you mean 'lifted' when referring to the stolen information.

Hm yeah, thanks for pointing that out.

Well the General said he thinks his commando sentinels were attacked by one of the intruders' ships! He tried to send us a message, but the commando said the General and his men came under attack again before I got there! So, no message SMILEY

Flood thinks the General is making it all up! But it doesn't matter because now someone has stolen a map, the same one the General is using! The map thing was being guarded by lupines and they said they never saw anyone or any scents! Flood thinks it may have been one of them!

Then, Flood gets a call about some of our other people seeing a "suspicious character" close by! but when I got there, everyone was on the ground SMILEY Then, the General showed up! He said he fixed his problems during the attack and is able to send his message now! It was a quick message though... I think he was still in a fight! he said he would send us a copy of his copy of the map... but that was it!

I guess Flood like did some sort of scan to match the signal of the map the General sent us to the stolen copy? Anyway, somehow he found where the stolen copy was! It was a dire lupine that took it after all! The lupine said the data had already been uploaded and he fell to the ground! The operator said he had a strange signal that stopped when he died, and he didn't sound like a dire lupine!

Flood said it was Mauser doing some kind of hacking! So he took over the lupine? Oh my! What is he planning to use that map for?

I'd offer feedback on this chapter but I haven't done any kind of critical mission, watched any chapter movies or attended a live event in about 2 years.

I think the General has been compromised.  The returned map will likely have some special alterations.

Uh, yeah, his being under missile fire has me thinking he's been found out, too. But I don't think Mauser is planning on returning that map any time soon.

Where did the original copy go? Did it say in the mission? I forget and took a break off of summaries this sub chapter.
