Back when the wasteland corruptors were first introduced, I remember someone saying about corrupted code fragments being from an old live event, and that they're not really supposed to drop anymore.  Is that true?  If so, is there any possibility that they can be removed, so that the corrupted NPCs will drop more decaying codes?  I'm currently farming decaying codes on Recursion and Vector, and if all of the corrupted code fragments I get were replaced by decaying codes, that would save me a lot of time.

Also, I know this is an old issue, so I apologize if this has already been addressed.

i totally agree with u im farming a headgear too and it is annoying atleast make the fragsments more vallubale make it work like maybe 3 dec code something like that since you lose them when you die  but it does get annoinyg to deal with these  when farming for a headgear

Rarebit likes to have old storyline elements floating around in the world.

Get rid of those annoying things,please...

I wish Rarebit would respond to this...

I had no issue with these things dropping, it was nice to finally get a complete set of them and see what the full script said.

And given the overall ratio of them dropping, and the decaying codes dropping, I think you could probably live with farming for just that little bit longer.

Be a waste of dev time in my books.

This would dramatically reduce the value of this item.  This is supposed to be a challange.  Yes its a drag, believe ive farmed quite a few of these now.. i believe ive farmed somewhere in the region of 18000 decaying codes.  The collecting in itself is not difficult... just time consuming as much of the content in this game is.

I agree, I was missing a few of them from the Assassin event. I was happy to finally collect them all... even if they killed my code storeage >_>

I would like to keep the Corrupted code fragments in with the loot.  Averaging 80 decaying codes per spawn aint all that bad is it?  7 Hours to farm a dana isnt bad.  Why not be grateful that the Corruptor has a chance to drop two frags at a time, that happens and you can cut 4 hours off your farming time for the headgear SMILEY<img mce_tsrc=

I don't average 80 decaying codes per spawn.  I don't have a second account, or a lowbie friend who is willing to spend that much time helping me farm.  I fight corrupteds who are three levels higher than me, so I only get around 30-35 decaying codes per spawn.  And I am grateful that the Corruptor has a chance to drop two frags at a time.  That happened to me on syntax... twice. That had crossed my mind, but right now I only have one computer that can run MxO, and as far as I know, it can't do dual-clienting.

I'm sure most rigs now can handle a dual client, especially if you run at 800x600 and the lowest settings on both.

You didn't read all of the posts in this thread, did you?  That seems to be a recurring problem with you. gf

I don't think the resolution or settings are the problem.  I set it to 800x600 and highest framerate, but when I try to run another instance of MxO, I get a message saying "Only one instance of the game can be running."  Do I need to have the station launcher, or is there something else I need to do?

Oh, and just so everyone knows, I sent Rarebit a PM asking about the corrupted code fragments.  He replied and said that they're there on purpose.  So I'm pretty sure they're not going to be removed, and as I said before, I'm fine with that.

Copy ur shortcut on the desktop and rename it, the rightclick select properties and after the target add " -clone" without the " as I wrote it. Start your normal instance and then u can start the new cloned one (can't do visa versa).

While you're there you might as well add in -noeula.  It saves you clicking accept on the launcher  SMILEY
