So my forum posts are looking a bit blan. I am looking to make a signature and avatar. I was wondering if doing this is difficult. I took an
Illistrator/AutoCAD/Photoshop class in college, but i slacked in the photoshop part. So, I have a little bit of how they work. Anyways, I was wondering if they were
hard to make? Also would a JPEG or Bitmap SS be better to work with? Lastly what eddition of Photoshop should I look to get?
well you dont need photoshop to make a sig you can use paint.net for free and do just as good a job, best way is jsut grab somones sig and blank it out to use as the base .
Get whatever version you can afford but generally speaking the later version the better. Bitmaps are better for this than jpegs because a bitmap contains more/detailed information about the image. Since any image you work on is likely to be scaled, cropped, reformatted and goodness knows what else in the process you always want to start with the largest, most detailed image you can get a hold of for your raw material. After that you just want to tinker around or get some tutorials, eventually you'll develop an ability and style you like.
