It would be cool if swords were added to the game so the players in the game can fight with swords

Yeah, been suggested a 'few' times, unforturnately we lack a animator, so they cant make any animations for the new abilities.  If we were able to get an Animator on MxO though, this would be first on my list I would think.

Sword combat would be a great addition, but don't expect it unless SOE goes insane and hires animators and more devs for MXO and decides to release an expansion...so don't count on it.

Well, it started off with a full development team.  Then SOE bought the game from Monolith.

SOE devs didn't [and hardly do] know anything about the engine, and only have a total of 3 [b]known[/b] devs.

We're pretty much where we're going unless SOE decides to give us a boost.

Also we'd have to change the rating on the game and that's not likely.  I wish people would stop bringing this up.

Swords Eh? Search funtion is your friend. It has been suggested, many times with many, many reasons/opinions as to why it would/wouldn't be cool, why it won't/should be implemented etc...
