I have a 50 on each server. But if i could transfer them i would move both of them on Vector ...I rarely play on the other 2 servers anyway!
Agreed! I have two 50's on Recursion, and I would transfer them to Vector in an instant if I could.
So mind numbingly boring there ! ![]()

Please don't bring that *poop* up here Ballak. It's a simple question and this topic isn't meant to become an argument of which server is better or any of that jazz.
Fine, fine. It's not like I hate Vector or anything.

I'll give you the leveling part, because yes in this game you're at a horrible disadvantage fighting a level fifty from 16-49 but you cannot stand there and tell me that consensual PvP is so much more different than Hostile PvP. The only difference is you get the initiative shot off, other than that it's just the same PvP you'd encounter on any other server.(Those who think it's hard mode to be on Vector are fooling themselves because easy mode is a quick Ctrl+Space away; not to mention that the fact that it's a pvp server shouldn't determine whether you want to be on vector or not if you particularly enjoy said activity, server population should).
I'm not taking 'hostility' to this, nor am I 'looking for a fight' - but I would like to comment on this snippet.
Firstly, pre-Vector aka Enumerator days - it was not a simply Ctrl+Space away, [it was a Shift+Space away] people actually ganked in groups back then. Leveling up on a Hostile server was much different than a PvE server. Sorry, that's the truth. [also, slow/root]
Secondly, joining a PvP server SHOULD determine whether you want to be on Vector or not, as it is the only PvP server. /pvp flagging [aka blue PvP] is not the true nature of PvP, that is consensual PvP.
Tenshi, there is a difference between Hostile, and /pvp. That's the facts. It's understandable if people don't want to transfer to Vector, and more importantly it's not even possible. No one [with half a brain] has insulted anyone for not wanting to transfer if available. So I don't see the need for the insults to our choice of server.
Sorry to disagree here ....in selective pvp, you die, then when you recon, you choose whether to 'flag up' and fight again, you can sit on a bench, recover your composure, and go again.
On Vector, you have no such luxury....as soon as you recon, you're back into the fray...no choice!
And, yes, I do know , having 50's on both Recursion, and Vector servers...that Vector is my home, and always will be.
Life keeps you on your toes there, no hanging around Mara C , dancing in your pretty clothes..../rolleyes
I liked vector pvp above all others as it's just one of those things that keeps you on edge. For me, I probably would move to vector if I was given the choice. Sure, you don't have to fight on there but you'd be hard pressed to sit aound somewhere before someone found you to fight, which I think is what makes the game better.
In terms of frequency of fighting, that seems to have moved the thread on a bit of a different line but I've been known to fight the same way regardless of server, which is purely depending on where I am. If it's the middle of a big rumble, I just enter right into the main hardline where the fighting is and jump straight into it again. If it's lower numbers, I'd probably go to another hardline and set myself up before going back into the fight again.
/bigcheergood pvp is pretty much the same on any server. when you have two or more orgs all goin at it with fairly even numbers on either side then its basically the same.
in my experience bad pvp sucks worse on non hostile servers. and i think thats what most people think of when they think of pvp on non hostile servers since the great all out pvp fights are getting fewer and farther between. let me explain.
on vector you have to be aware of your surroundings. when you sneak into mara and have a looksee you get an idea of what your facing. might be 5 reds. might be 1. then assume at least 2 for every 4 you see are in sneak and make your plan accordingly.
on nonhostile its different. you go to mara and see 20 blues and 3 reds. then you gotta count heads for each blue and see how many might flag up. then you gotta figure how many might be in sneak blue waiting to get that first shot off at you as well. you just dont know what to expect. and too many people will flag up only when they know they have the advantage...such as the snipers that will wait for you to be interlocked so they can firearms skill, lineup shot, and get the 3 shot kill. then go back in sneak until flag wears off.
not to mention the blues from your own org who might or might not flag up. and in my experience there is way more in org fighting on nonhostile servers so you cant depend on anybody thats not in your faction anyways.
i spent a few months on recursion...and it sucked...and i havent come back or missed it a bit. non hostile pvp is weak compared to vector. sorry...but thats my opinion. now im not saying that vectorites are better. recursion and syntax players are just as good with their builds at dueling. but pvp...meh..not too many have impressed me. the few that ive known and though were good turned out to be relying on exploits. but i guess when you dont have to worry about a red on your back you have time to practice those.

Non-Hostile:
Two people fight at Mara C, one gets killed, recons, comes straight out of the Mara C HL, buffs up, heals, starts fighting again.Hostile:
Two people fight at Mara C, one gets killed, recons, comes out of the Mara NW HL, buffs up, heals, starts fighting againNot a million miles away from each other and I have seen this happen multiple times.
Reality....
Non-hostile
Two people fight at Mara C, one gets killed, recons, comes straight out of Mara C hl, buffs up, heals, starts fighting again
Hostile
Two people fight at Mara C,one gets killed, recons, comes out of Mara NW hl with no buffs, no inner strength, runs into a handful of reds buffing up and waiting.....dies again.
Nooooo, not a lot of difference there .....lol

Then go to Mara South, or West, or Magog W and run from there. Or just jump when you come through Mara C onto a nearby roof
* Sigh....I wasn't complaining...After all this time, I know how to survive on Vector, tyvm !![]()
I was just pointing out the difference with hostile/non hostile..
Oh nvm....**exits thread **
I'd never leave Syntax. Too much history.
That's funny, i'd leave syntax, because of too much history. As soon as I get my alt on recursion to 50, I'll work on my Vector Alt, and then I leave you guys. I mean, I <3 syntax...but it's time to move on, then demondhunter will become my little Live Event tool.
But yeah, if I could Move DemondHunter to Vector, I totally would. I mean, yeah, the server has like the least amount of RP out of all the servers, but there still IS Rp factions, and I honestly prefer Rpvp over just plain RP, cuz emoting fights...fun...but it gets lame, it's a little difficult to gmode when you're flagged. ^_^
