I can see where you're coming from, though.

lol
*Laughs out loud*

While it would be an awesome idea - doubt it will happen. Mainly because it's not a factor that will really change anything important [though it does suck for those of us who still enjoy RP and don't play MxO like CS.]
I do hate seeing LE screenshots with, "CrYptOz, how r u, liek wuts ^? w3 k1ll1n t3h z1on 2day?" Alas, *poop* SUCKS.
I don't think it's a bad idea at all, but at the same time I'm not sure I'd use it... I'm not IC all the time and having to toggle it off and on depending on my mood and the chat channel(s) I'm using at the moment would be too much work. If I did have it on, however, I would prefer it to be a filter of it's own as opposed to being part of the profanity filter. I have no issue with there being profanity in the game, both when IC and when OOC, and I always have my profanity filter off.Yeah, I think profanity is fine, whatever. Maybe if it ever DID happen - then a SEPARATE filter for it.
I know what Synapse is saying and KanoR's example is pretty close to reality. It would annoy me to see it in LE posts but to be honest you can't prevent those who aren't into the RP side of things as much as other from turning up to events and there will always be those who'll circumvent the filter, so there's no point getting annoyed. All I do, if I see someone adding chat like that in area is ignore what they say. I don't respond to them if they're trying to get attention or are trying to be clever or are just being OOC etc... However, I'll react to a LE character if that character responds to them. I guess it depends on the situation.
What I'd really like to see is an intelligent spam filter... well I can dream...
No.

You first. Whilst you are it, stop trying to dictate how people post.
On-topic, all things considered, it's a no. I may personally stay far, far away from Internet idioms as much as possible, but that doesn't mean that others can't douse themselves with said idioms and memes, and dance around in a dripping, jolly trot. It is annoying to have to wade through nonsense to get to the crux of the live event dialogue, but a dedicated filter is going a little far for something which is a relatively small issue. The proposed and actual censorship is becoming a little too widespread, for my taste.

I'd say you're a *CENSORED*.

I was simply telling him he was not saying 'no', he had to come up with a remark he thought was witty when all it really did was make him look like a *twit*.
Surry that you can't *CENSORED* read.

How cute.
As farm as grammar goes - I'm glad you could pick out only one thing completely obvious and throw it out there. Yeah, I can't spell 'sorry.' You're right.
Aw you got your butt buddies to come try and troll too?

And no it wasn't grammar i picked it out, it was spelling
Keep in mind that continued player attacks and spam can lead to a forum suspension.
