Man, normally I have no problem partying all night, but three massive parties over twelve floors of dance club simultaneously ain't easy! I mean, as far as I heard, Neo only ever did one floor, so what's that tell you?

I saw less than a third of what went on, so there was a lot more to the evening than what I was able to capture.

It was short notice and a very late time slot, but we packed the club on all three servers! Thanks to everyone who took the time to come by, and I hope you all had a good time.

Sieges: Great party, and it was great to have everyone hanging out together and just rocking out, instead of *always* being at each odds with each other. In between the battles, I'd like to have more things like this, where we can just get along together.

Morraeon: MmmmmmrrrrrrrRrrrrrr! That was one kickin' par-tay! Cake, hot guys, the Effy, RSI masks, great tunes. What could be better?

(( I hope the reporters, if they happened to have any RSIs in there, had as much fun as we sure did!))

They'd set up little partitions in the developer areas to try to herd reporters to strategic spots farther back in the studio, like an Agency art gallery and my desk, but I think this plan was defeated by the free bar up at the front of the studio. It sounded like all the visitors pretty much stuck around out there. I think one came close to me laterish in the evening, but they hit the framed MXO poster PR was using as a partition in one spot, and there was a fantastic crash as it came down and the glass shattered all over the place. ;) I dunno if there were kiosks set up for reporters to jack in from. I did have a reporter sit in with me for the Syntax Cypherite event a couple days earlier, and during the party some of our old Monolith MXO programmers (now doing the indie thing) stopped by to say hi, which was cool, and it was kind of funny to see how surprised they were to see the packed parties going on in the game.

Candy and playing dress up, what more could we ask for.  

Sounds like you guys had a blast though, what with the open bar and breaking of PR valuables and un-awareness of general interaction with the 'media' and the game or your surrioundings. Really sounds like the game will be getting a lot of attention and maybe getting the well-deserved funding we all think it does.

FTR - the other monolith employees who showed up, did they come back to laugh or shake their heads out of pitty? Or with the flashiness of the party and the packed small rooms were we able to brilliantly cover up the brusies and cuts with make up?

Ah pescimism, now i need an open bar.

Oh, well I think they were there to pimp out their company. ;)

Oh I forgot that one of our devs did come by with a large digital video camera type of thing and filmed the Effectuator turning some poor victim on Vector I think into a Twin, and I tried to explain for the camera what was going on. He said something about the SOE San Diego people (San Diegans? San Diegons?) wanting to put a bunch of video material together for some kind of presentation or something. I kind of doubt they'd use the footage he shot of me and the party because I always come off as a total dork in front of a camera, but hey who knows.
