A thought occurred to me earlier when reading through the MxO Wiki (thinking it might need an update).

I was reminded of the Event (around the time Seraph went on an override program removal spree) where an agent told a cypherite that there is no reinsertion process.

Then something clicked and now I'm wondering if there might be a link between Halborn, Carlyne and any others there might be... and all the redpills that have supposedly been re-inserted.

I could be on the wrong track here (and it's quite possibly an idea that's already been tossed around)... but it does make you wonder.

I don't know. I'd doubt it because:

1. A severe overhaul of an already working jack-in procedure in order to make redpills equal to "intruders."
2. We've been told that "intruders" are freeborn.
3. We've been told that "intruders" come from a "higher iteration of the Matrix."
4. Halborn has referred to bluepills as "slaves" - if they were people that sought reinsertion, they'd probably think a little more highly of those in the Matrix.

My thoughts were always that those who went for reinsertion were either killed or overwritten. Mostly the former, I'd guess.
