We have armour piercing weapons but the armour piercing doesn't have an effect at the moment so I was thinking of creating something along the lines off

5% chance of 40pts drop in Ballistic resistance for 10 seconds.

And then with certain types of enhanced weapons for each general level, give them the the Armour Piercing ability. Each time the level increases we could have an increase in time and/or drop in resistance e.g

Level 1 - 9     =  5% chance of 5pts drop in Ballistic Resistance for 3 seconds.
Level 10 - 19 =  5% chance of 5pts drop in Ballistic Resistance for 5 seconds.
Level 20 - 29 =  5% chance of 10pts drop in Ballistic Resistance for 5 seconds.
Level 30 - 39 =  5% chance of 20pts drop in Ballistic Resistance for 10 seconds.
Level 40 - 49 =  5% chance of 40pts drop in Ballistic Resistance for 10 seconds.
Level 50        =  10% chance of 40pts drop in Ballistic Resistance for 10 seconds.

Also the drop rate for the guns especially the level 50 versions should be extremely low and if possible get them to drop from the bosses in the hideouts only. Therefore it would take a long time to acquire a level 50 version and again like the Lancet it can't be decompiled and duplicated.

I like this idea, pretty nifty although 5% maybe a little low or maybe thats just me SMILEY" />

I like the idea, nicely thought out.

I think if it gets too high then you're going to find it to be a little overpowered if you're getting hit with -40pts of Ballistic Resistance as much as if you were getting stated for 10 seconds at a time, if it was 30% chance you would find that if you hit almost all the time with the gun you could keep a constant downgrade on them.

I agree with Rogan, I mean look at Tiger Masters Gi, that has something 70% and it very rarely works.
I'm not saying put it upto 70% though, something like 15% max.

Yes but chances on clothes are completely different. Basically if there's a 70% chance of the effect of the clothes working it jumps down to about 5% chance because you have to take into account that that type of clothing won't be hit by the damage all the time, only a 1in 7 chance, (14.2%)

While if the Gun hits the opponent then there is no other %chance you need to take into consideration.

Armor Piercing is just a text display bug on items. If you see it on any weapon please file a /bug for it stating the weapon in question.

Isn't it on the Lancet/Stinger/needler weapons still??

Add

Heirloom Revolver

The Party Favor

Chastity

&

Elmore's Automatic

to the list of Armor Piercing Weapons

Tis a shame this can't be re-integrated

You're kidding, right?

I get it every time I get hit with something.

You might want to check the code for Body Shot as I think it likes to switch to Armor Piercing weapons rather than whatever you would usually be using.

Mine triggers all the time. If I'm getting shot by two or more enemies it's pretty much buffing me constantly.

And this idea is Bloody Brilliant! Excellent idea, Denary.
