SOE's Seattle studio is hosting a press event this Wednesday evening, and in order to show off MXO, we're luring everyone into a mind-blowing party in Club Duality so that you can do all kinds of embarrassing things in front of reporters!

Don't forget, that's:

- This Wednesday the 14th
- 7-9 pm (Pacific Time, yes we know that's late!)
- Club Duality (on top of the skyscraper just behind the Kedemoth Central hardline)
- All Servers
- Mind-blowing!*

Anyone who complains that SOE should do more to advertise MxO, has ~~an opportunity~~ *ney!*a DUTY to be there, to show what this game can offer.

The Matrix Online can only survive if we attract new participants, and nothing does that like some press attention. Let's show them what they are missing!

Whilst parties are a good thing to show off characters and players and a few other bits and pieces, one thing that would really 'show off' MxO is what many people play it for and what many people associate with the Matrix, the combat.

Martial Arts, Guns, cool outfits and bullettime. That's what many think off when they hear the Matrix, and while you can do more in game (oh dear... nekkid dancing... I wonder who'll be doing that...) some combat showcases might be fun and quite showy too....

Outdoors? Fine. Indoors or on missions? The interlock alignments are still far too messed up to show off in any sort of public event imo.

I can understand the weird time though, as it isn't an MxO only thing, it is a SOE/Press thing.

I'm not trying to be the party pooper here cause I'll be at the event but this does seem a bit un-realistic representation for the press. Giving us advance notice on the forums, in-game, everyone will be there and it'll kind of be a fake amount of people to what is usually around.

But hey if it gets more press, gets more subscriptions and ultimately gets us back cinematics/better budget I'm there! SMILEY

Indeed, but I wasn't saying to do duels inside, for one thing its annoying to those inside having fun during the party. There's a decent space just outside the club for a duel or two.

For all Euro-players: I feel your pain and I will be suffering on the night! I have done this type of thing before and I can confirm it is acheivable. Just head to bed early and set the alarm for 02.30 am! Spend 2 hours Jacked In and then hit-the-hay until it's time to get up for work. Simple!

I am sure that Rarebit and the crew have thought through this opportunity... I imagine that the "special guests" will be some of the main LE characters ; varying on each server. The characters would be best to be those faces which would be readily identifiable to the readers of a gaming mag (eg. Morpheus[sim]/Seraph, Niobe/Ghost, Merovingian/Persephone, etc.) It might be that these characters duel eachother, to show-off the fight dynamics in the game...?!
