I've seen many ideas passed around, many that would indeed require a repack of part of the world its on.   A huge patch, roughly 100-300mb?  I personally wouldn't trust the patcher so why not release those particular huge patches optionally as some sort of extractor.

This would help out those with low bandwidth connections I would think as well, as you cannot really pause and resume a patch download through the patcher.  Just make it force a full system scan post-patch to make sure it is patched proper.

Actually our patcher doesn't re-download stuff if u stop dling in the middle of a big update like 300 mb. It checks which files on it's list need updating still and continues from there. And I trust it more than any .exe file.

I'd rather see there be at least some way of doing it via an FTP server. When I was updating my game from the beginning recently the Launcher was disconnecting halfway through and would get stuck the next time you launch it on Xptl.dll I know it can happen quite frequently I only managed to do it through Station Launcher and even that doesn't work now for me SMILEY
