Death--a booming business these days. The problem with finding a culprit is that there are a lot of people out there who stood to profit by it.

Hmmm, the Archivist didnt like Zionists poking around Widows Moor.  The rules apply to everyone but in this case not to Cypherites.  What the hell is really going on??
#36300452094 05/08/2008 03:02:15 Re:[10.1.5] A cold calculation - Vector - 5/6/08
Authority. Something which, apparently, Zionites do not recognise. Apart from within their own organisation, but of course their own people aren't going to try to kill them when they don't respect that authority...
#36300452096 05/08/2008 03:10:14 Re:[10.1.5] A cold calculation - Vector - 5/6/08
Unless their people are Cypherite moles, which in this case they were.  Someone is upset that Zion was conducting this investigation and is hiding something.  Carlyne's true self/motives, I suspect are creeping out little by little.....
#36300452101 05/08/2008 03:34:59 Re:[10.1.5] A cold calculation - Vector - 5/6/08
Well thats an issue for Zion security and vetting. I doubt true Zionite leaders will kill their own for not respecting their authority.

Nah, they would probably punish them by sending them to the big kitchen in New Zion, and help stir pots of mush for the population... SMILEY

The Cypherites throw the Archivist Society sexy parties on the weekends... thats why we get our privleges.... guess the cat is out of the bag now though, and no you aren't invited!

In any case, they'd be a lot better off than they would if they didn't respect a Non-Zion authority that would have no qualms in killing them...

Even Ghost had to respect the authority of the Archivist in his own construct in the same way that Neo, despite all of his powers, had to respect the authority of the trainman in Mobil Ave.

#36300452110 05/08/2008 04:01:23 Re:[10.1.5] A cold calculation - Vector - 5/6/08
Neo respected the Trainman's authori-tay? I'm pretty sure he put up a fight and then ran in a continous circle a few times, from what I heard at least. I don't call that respecting author-tay.

No, but he learnt to, after confronting the trainman once and failing, he didn't try again and after trying to escape and couldn't he didn't continue, he had to wait for a rescue whilst respecting that the Authority that the Trainman had in that place could not be overturned by anything he tried.

We weren't allowed to investigate the area while the cypherites were!I wonder why...
#36300452153 05/08/2008 05:54:51 Re:[10.1.5] A cold calculation - Vector - 5/6/08
Can't say I'm happy about Cypherites getting preferential treatment, though it pleases me to think that they are as clueless about the deeper reason behind this as everyone else. All the same, this is absolutely priceless:

I never knew those Archivists could be such cunning pranksters. SMILEY

Hm... this is something to be most aware of... and I send my deepest condolences about Captain Suda and his crew, operatives.

Aww poor Suda... I wonder if he'd be happy to know I named my little toy after him?

I suppose it's a bit too late to ask him now, Chloe.  Oh well...

There's a difference between disrespecting authority and going renegade.

And of course there is a difference between going renegade for anarchy's sake and going renegade for a good reason.... (Yes.. I went there...)

A good reason or good intention does not change the fact that he rejected Zion's authority for his own therefore Zion's actions toward him was justified. He wasn't one of their own any longer, no officially at least.

/duh
But he didn't bother the Cypherites, even though they had a bunch of level 50's in there.

On another note, I wish this happened on Syntax.  Seems like that would be a good time to use a terminator bit.SMILEY
