I'm an old MXO player ( Vereor Nos Guild) from early beta and I've decided to give this game another try, I quit pre-SOE with a character on the PVP server.
I'm currently downloading the game at the moment from the Station Launcher.

OMG! Welcome back!! I miss VN. Is Sevker still around anywhere?

The best memory I have of beta (aside from the end event) was the epic 01 War with VN/RIP vs FA vs TC.

Yeah Sevker's still alive in our forums lol but nobody is playing MXO since SOE took over.

Time of day is a big factor when it comes to server population, that and any new highly anticipated games released recently...

Syntax is the most populated, but like Vin said... GTA4 is taking many people away atm, but they will all be back. SMILEY
