Ive got this motherboard..

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showp...rodid=MB-259-AS

Which as far as I understood can support quadfire with ATI cards.

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showp...d=56&subcat=168

So I got 4 of the above cards though I have the 512mb version. ON the box it says these cards support plug and play ati crossfire technology so all i should need to do is plug them in and off I go, but as far as i can see I dont see any real difference with them.

Maybe Ive set them up wrong or something?

As for other specs ive got the following.

Processor: AMD Phenom(tm) 9850 Quad-Core Processor, MMX, 3DNow (4 CPUs), ~2.5GHz
Memory: 2560MB RAM (4gb)
1000w fan

I'm off to bed but I'll post back in around 11 hours.

That mo-bo only supports 8x in quad crossfire mode... maybe you need to change the BIOS setting.

Also your RAM is showing 2560MB ... windows is only using 2 and a bit GB... if it were using 4GB it would read 4096MB.

perhaps removing a stick of RAM will help performance.

£120 is way too much for a motherboard unless you REALLY need it (SLI 9800GTX's, for example), and attaching four well below sub-par graphics cards is just wasteful.

Do yourself a favour: Save some cash from your next paycheque, and buy yourself a perfectly serviceable motherboard/two 3870's to run in Crossfire.

*shrugs* my last card was a sub-par card as you put it. Heh.

If you think your last card was sub-par, then you need to redefine your standards, Mr. Trump.

The following review should explain your lack of performance.

tl;dr: Sorry to say it but your cards are  what we refer to in the IT industry as financial ballast (that is, they're pieces of junk, 3650's would have been better value)

You should have bought 2 better cards... most top-end games get between 4 and 10 frames per second on this card. It's not even recommended for business machines. Sell them if you can and buy 2 top-end cards.
