Okay this is addressed to the liaisons that's never jacking in on VECTOR-HOSTILE!!!
So it's not aimed at those liaison officers that do jack in and pvp's or small talks with their orgs in any way, shape or form.
This is an open complaint directly directed at the ones that doesn't jack in, doesn't stay online after the events but instead jacks
out with the LE Chars and thinks that they did a good job. Fail! That's only a part of the LO'ing in my opinion anyway! I think the
role also holds a whole lot more. It's about creating mini-events, depth, suspense, progression, direction, faction interests being
met (as the LE Chars doesn't do that at all), meetings, listening to new updates about the storyline missions from the players, and
showing that they like being around the players, and yeah you can get a bullet in your face around VECTOR, but that's part of the
whole suspense and so on.
If you're not up for the role of an LO maybe it's time to resign and let someone else that do have the drive to keep going for
years without end of jacking in and talking to their orgs have a chance to do so. I know it can be hard to keep going but that's not
an excuse! It's been a long long long time since there's been Zion LO's around and Merv LO's aside from in the Events and when I
see the other servers LO's jacking in, I'm thinking *CENSORED*! What did we do to deserve such a crappy treatment from the
LO's?! Are they too busy with being on their mains then perhaps there's a few people being let into the LO roles that shouldn't
have been allowed.
Yes, I'm disappointed - and I don't think this post will change anything really, but I've opted for this open HALLO ANYONE OUT
THERE post instead of letting Rare get a little ranty PM from me about who's doing their job as LO's and who's not, because really I
don't think it's his job to make you guys jack in and do what you signed up to do for the players of this game, so if you're not
feeling it... please... leave.

You have everyone reason to feel that way. I have yet to see a Zion LO jack in for God knows how long. The most active LO on Vector that I have seen are EPN (Pentothal), Machine (Systematica), and SOMETIMES Cypherite (Dreami). The rest are non-existent/don't care. I am a bit disappointed at the fact that Zion has 3, count them 3 Liason Officers and I can't remember not one of them jacking in or making an event in more than a few months. I could be exaggerating a bit on that last part but it seems like that long. To be quite honest I don't even remember the last time a Merovingian's Liason Officer jacking in a long while. I saw there was recently an event and thats probably the first they have had in a while. I guess switching orgs wasnt the way to go Synapze. Probably better if you went machine.
#3630044992705/02/2008 12:04:32Re:So where are they?
Yeah, but I'll stay Merv, M. Not in LET anymore tho, just good ol' solo, you have my number.
#3630044993205/02/2008 12:11:20Re:So where are they?
Thanks syn ive been meaning to post something like this perhaps this should be in the general form as well so that it gets looked at syn
Indeed our last zion event before the one we had last week was in the beginning of march that was the last time i saw our liason officer jack in. the last event we had last week tyndall had to send out a system message and the fact that there were few zions on the event was kinda sad i had made a alt on recursion and ill say i give props to the liason officers over there merrit and rylet do a amazing job of keeping zion inform of what is going on.and basicly you can find a liason on all orgs online atleast once a day there. from what i hear they have some side events what not but the thing i like is they hold monthly meeting giving everyone a scoop of whats going on now if they start doing that i would actaully be on more here now i give penothal credit here he's doing a fine job actaully leveling to get to 50 and even though he's not 50 he's pvping to. i just hope some day we can get some good liasons that can jack in for more than just our main story line events.
#3630044993905/02/2008 12:20:57Re:So where are they?
Both Dreami and Sutola are on 3-4 times a week, they are very active and a big reason RR sticks around
#3630044994105/02/2008 12:21:26Re:So where are they?
I think it's great that someone finally brought this up, and I support Syn, 100%.
Yeah, we do have a few active liaisons that does a good effort, Pentothal, Systematica, haven't really been into CYPH, so I don't know about Dreami. But this is a serious issue that we need to do something about as soon as possible, and I hope that Rarebit will take a look at this.

#3630044994405/02/2008 12:34:22Re:So where are they?
The fact is that this is not the first time this issue has been brought up. There needs to be an adjustment made to the LESIG appointment process. Maybe interview the potential LO and see how dedicated they are to the job. Possibly a trial period in which they are evaluated. I know the "other" servers don't think much of us, and only see Vector as a PVP sheeithole, but there are those of us here who are quite dedicated to the RP and progression of the the storyline. I also know for a fact that if there was more activity from those Liason Officers who are absent from their orgs, you would see more people jacked in on a consistent basis. There is something horribly wrong with the way our server is being handled and its time something is done about it. We need to stop having threads like this pop up and more action needs to be taken!!! Rarebit, can you PLEASE see what needs to be done, and spawn some fire up LESIGS behinds and get to bottom of this?!?

M. hits it spot on about an evaluation period or something because it must really be some very busy people in their own factions or in real life not to jack in for a whole month, and again remember it's some liaisons only (Vector's) which is why I posted it here and not on the general forums, this is a server problem first and foremost, imho.
#3630044994805/02/2008 12:58:20Re:So where are they?
A whole month aside from the LE, of course. -.-
#3630044995305/02/2008 13:27:18Re:So where are they?
Nice post.
LESIG needs to be active. Very active. They got the appointment for a reason did'nt they? They went through the processes, made some kind of enthusiastic promise, among other things im guessing.
Its my belief that if you are LESIG and want to remain LESIG, you should have a mandatory "online/jacked-in" status within a 168 hour timeframe <---A week. This will ensure that proper devotion to character and Org is accomplished. It really cant get much more simpler than that.

agreed i thought that should have been a req in lesig II have some sort of of hour requirment to be in it.

Indeed. And im speaking within reason here. Because I know LESIG have thier mains as well. But I think 4 to 8 hours a week isnt asking much from someone who thinks they are devoted enough to MxO to become LESIG.
#3630045000305/02/2008 14:48:51Re:So where are they?
Don't forget that they are, themselves, players. So maybe they are busy for a month or two? This doesn't really affect me but I think the LOs should tell Rarebit if they aren't going to be on as much so that maybe Rare can assign substitutions or new liaisons. But I guess if this happens a lot then maybe they shouldn't be liaisons and new ones should be brought up.

Sad, but true:
#3630045007105/02/2008 17:15:03Re:So where are they?
Systematica ftw .
But yeah...Zions liasons especially are on the low activity side, mervs had Tasvyder on tonight, and titchbourne used to be pretty active, but he hasnt been on for a while.
Something should be done i guess, because liasons are a big part of the game these days, but whether it will or not.... :/

#3630045009505/02/2008 18:01:26Re:So where are they?
...that is a good question!I understand that they are players too but they have an obligation:TO BE ACTIVE!It's really simple. If you can't accept that responsibility then you need to tell Rare to release you from your duties. That's why Systematica is the best liason on Vector! She leveled up(big plus) and she's active!Meh,she's machine though.Pentothal is active too but EPN..Zion liason anyone???I can't remember when was the last time i saw one. *sigh*
#3630045012605/02/2008 19:17:38Re:So where are they?
If Rarebit could wave a magic wand Tony and make you liaison as TonyJaa would you abandon your faction and do it?
Hell, RP it even that your contacted and have a higher calling now.
I love this server but if I had to choose between Gretyl and a new character as liaison i'm almost certain I would keep Gretyl. She is the culmination of years of work. With that said if I ever wanted to become a Liaison id probably get stuck with Syntax and that makes me ..... well i won't say it.
Liaisons have great intentions and dedicate their own time to this. They should be commended for that but I agree if they cannot continue the task they should let Rarebit know. With that said though put yourself in their shoes, could you abandon your main to start a new character on a new server and then dedicate your time to that character? If so perhaps you should apply, but then again we will all know your a Liaison as you suddenly disappeared.
I love this game, but I couldn't do it. Could you?
#3630045013305/02/2008 19:31:38Re:So where are they?
What you said is true gretyl, i love my main characters. But these people signed up to be part of the liason program, knowing what they would have to do...
So everyones points are pretty vaild really.

I thought that you had to apply to be a liason!!Don't you think if i wanted to be one i would have applied???And to answer your question of course i wouldn't leave my faction. My faction is a priority and that my friend is my choice.Players that want to be liasons have chosen to be one.It was their choice.Once you accept the job you have to complete it.If you can't complete it then why did you apply?
#3630045031205/03/2008 07:32:37Re:So where are they?
Good points all around. Just wanted to add that sometimes the grass isn't greener on the other side.
*Mumbles "We totally should get more player events going" as she walks out the door*
#3630045033905/03/2008 08:46:27Re:So where are they?
Personally even if they don't jack in it would be nice if they would at least send out some contact emails to their org members and let them know when events might be going down. Then again I think most of the times Rarebit schedules events around what the LO's ask for or are available for. WHICH in short means Vector's Zion population is getting screwed...
Hey good work there Zion LO's...
Must be Merv or Machine players from Syntax and Recursion
#3630045046405/03/2008 16:36:37Re:So where are they?
Again this thread is not intended as a flaming of LESIG and LO's for being LO's. I'm very grateful that there are players which has taken it upon themselves to help out in events so Rare shouldn't need to send tells around to everyone but can concentrate on his LE Chars. All we're asking is some more activity like 4 to 8 hours a week outside the monthly event so we can feel that we're connected with our LO's instead of that they're very distant, and I'm asking you to please not call names. I'm sure the people that are not signing in are aware that they haven't been around much. Else do as Broin suggests send out a few emails and keep peole in the loop. Vector isn't that bad once you get to know us and we do have rp'ers too. I knew a guy once he said; Lesig is MxO's last line of defense from not turning into something we don't want it to be and the guy's right.
Now I'm going to ask to have this thread locked. You all made your points clear and we can only hope that our LO's sees it and pick up the slack.
