An RPvP tournament would be pretty cool. You'd have to act out fully-fleshed-out scenes while fighting, which means talking as well as breaking in and out of interlock for dramatic effect And of course, the fighting element would probably be restricted to the Soldier branch...

Oh sorry i didnt give my opinion. My main is an MA and my current alt at lvl 31 is a gunner so personally i would say them two but as already said these to already exist there should be something for the other trees and sim fights can be entertaining. There are a fair few players who are hackers and MKT's on recursion so why not give them something to fight for? you might not even need a prize to be honest just give players something to do other then stand at mara c.

Guess it depends on the prize, if its something that can be farmed eventually like the patcher's gear then I'd say use the hacker or mkt as there aren't regular tournaments for them. However if it was something unique, I'd have to go for all trees as some people are very tied to what they use, and if you limit it to a few trees it either forces them to try and learn something brand new (if they don't already use it) or excludes them.

I have not been around much lately so not sure of details or if I'm even telling the truth. I remember having a conversation with Solidrevolver a month or so ago and he mentioned that Rare was considering/creating a new construct (I think......). No chance of it being accessable by every server tho, that would make the game too fun lol

But some people just get into a comfort zone with the class they know and love in duels, and won't duel outside them, like a bunch of the tournaments are. I miss the old ones we used to have, King of the Hill, either a theme night (all one class) or open where you had to plan for anything to come against you. I like trying to duel other classes as I am, think it makes you try to get better and do things differently than what you always do.
Now, that said Cappy, after seeing your post in the events, it makes sense doing it as you are.
