Yeah, I enjoyed a lot of things.
The MxO discussions were pretty fun and interesting. The pool party and the banquet was good too. Oh, and everyone going out for dinner with the MxO team and chatting to them all after Fan Faire had finished until the 'wee hours' was also much fun.
The silent auction was pretty funny, because of how much of a fight it turned into. XD
I pretty much enjoyed the whole thing really. The other post is just how I felt it could have been improved upon.

I'd say the best parts of last year's FF were things that weren't on the official itinerary -- hanging out with the CSRs on the first day after check-in, a big group dinner in some Italian place (altho the official dinner was cool, too).
It was kind of frustrating that both the party in the club on the first night and the Pool Party were "21+ only." If we hadn't been from MXO, under 21 year olds would have showed up, saw some panels, went to the banquet, and that would have been it. But our community rules and so many other things went on that I daresay we had more fun than any other group did there.

Yeah... Free Bar...Good thing I'm staying at the hotel. Last time SOE had a party with a free bar, I drove him partially drunk.

I'll be there in 2009 incognito, though it probably won't be hard to recognize me. I will need a roomie though I don't like paying that much a night for a hotel room.

This is just for my reference since I was on another project during last years Fan Faire.
I would actually like something MxO related. Maybe a tournament or something? Sitting in a room and watching The Matrix just doesn't cut it brah'.
I did like the small group that we had there though, since it allowed for a lot of hanging out and general fun with Rarebit, Walrus, etc.
Also, it would suck hard if every computer there was stacked with 8 series cards and we couldn't even play MxO.

Unfortunately, that is normally determined by the Hotel rules/security and state/local Laws.

Thanks for your good information. I was afraid of feeling loneliness surrounded by players from other games, as MxO is the only one MMO I am playing. But it may be a great event for MxO players.
Search the forums for pictures from last year's Fan Faire and you'll see the MxO people sticking together and having a lot of fun. Seeing those pics made me decide to go this year.
Most fun we had were things not even in the agenda... Like a private dinner with Rarebit and Walrus. ANd then that LATE Night stay together after the Grand Banquet (which we stayed up till 4am hanging around). Everything else in between was fun too.

I personally don't care about the panel. I was alot better talking to Rarebit in a small group, just shooting questions and comments, with him 2 feet in front of you. Which I will add was more than any other game came close to. When you have 10 people from your game you can have more intimate conversation than in a room with 100 people.
And I will be bringing up to Rarebit again this year how I still want black avero boots male.

Friday August 1st will be the last day to register online.
You can still register as a walk in at Fan Faire but you wouldn't be able to get the half price for 10 guild/faction members or the in-game item.

Speaking of Half Price... Please Join "Bullet Time Operatives" to get your Half Price deals, We Have at least 10 members by that Faction/Guild Name already. The more the Merrier. That's at least some savings for about one "Warp Core Breach" I think though I dunno how much it actually cost.
