Recycled/ Re-released Content & Items

I've been reading all the angry posts about HJB and veteran rewards. Rather than another complaint or flamewar, I have a mere suggestion for the developers that I really feel will solve most issues with these items being re-released to current players.

That suggestion is to simply make these items and abilities a little different. Instead of Hyper Jump Beta with a green effect upon landing, the NEW HJB has yellow code fx.

Now it is distinguishable who was here at what era in the game history.

A while ago Vesuveus suggested that Beta Gear be re-released to current players slightly different that the original set of clothes: Unofficial Beta gear. Inverted colors or something to that effect.

Verdigra shirts with the same texture except yellow or orange. Or a different title: Verdigras Shirt II. The halloween items have a Roman Numeral on them for Neo's sake!! Same function, just a little different. Everyone is fullfilled and no one is cheated.

Thats kinda like saying, refund me my membership to the fanfaire since I could get one for free In another colour. Bad idea if you ask me.

Kinda same with beta gear. I dont have it (except the cap) and respect not having it. I missed out on beta, I wouldnt want those items in another colour just to make it feel like ive not been cheated.

No ones been cheated anyway...beta..if you wasnt there, you cant say you was cheated unless you was there and somehow dont have them now.

Verdigris, you didnt go to fanfaire, thats kinda your choice (or down to unfortunate circumstances) you wasnt cheated from getting them as you could of paid for it like people like Archduke did. Or just gone to fanfaire.

I disagree. The green one is still exclusive. But I see your point.

I went and got HJB even though it makes no difference to my lvl 50 char at this point. Just because it was a new little quest.

I know it's not likely. That's why I think this idea is more do-able. But who knows? If I knew I'd be a dev. /shrug

I'd take the Beta clothign style and put like SOE parts on it instead of the Beta symbol or even 'MxO' on a jacket.
