Ok so i been around a while, quite a while since beta infact. Still havent hit 50 here I am trying at 42 to hit 50.

Heres my problem with trying to get there?

Averagely doing missions I get in the region of 200,000 XP, for the sake of arguments I have 181.500,000 XP thus to level up to 50 i will need 114,582,500. At this rate I will need to do 573 missions as a minimum to get to 50. Is this normal should it take this long? Its getting quite depressing?...I think maybe I am doing something wrong?:S

You doing your missions on Hard - Large (maybe its small, I dunno really)? You could always have someone farm parts with you in Zero One or even Decaying Codes from the Wasteland Corruptors.

Edit: There's also Archive Missions.

You sound like you're doing missions on small, either that or you're doing the large ones too fast. Best method though apparently is to get a couple of howies together in Zero One, get one to run around and get a load of Soilders to follow him to where you and the other howie is then just let em nuke and bomb them.

If possible you take Rez and heals and then it should work quite well.

When my alt was at lvl 42 i think i was averagin out at about 360k xp or maybe a bit more. Do mishs tiny - hard and also try and get 3 stages. A 2 stage will cut it down by about 100k. Archive mishs are good for grindin but can get a bit tedious with kill all enemies.

Doing missions over and over is a grind, that's for sure. You should really be getting around the 300k + mark for a mission if you get the 3 stages.

My advice, do the following:-

-Archive missions - there are more interesting and obviously help towards an actual item after completing a set.
- Constructs, start farming 01 for npc XP, but most importantly the 01 parts which can be used to trade for xp.
- Datamine - Datamine for info, but when you get spawns of gangs/exiles/security kill them for xp and the loot will have a Experience Code Amplifier, which when used gives XP.
- Access Nodes - Get working on DT ones, if you haven't already.

Just mix up and remember, when doing regular missions, use Tiny/Hard and make sure you tag each zone for 1min, if the mission has 3 phases, then that = Max Xp from those missions.

Lol, you and PS10N have something in common.
And to be honest thats bad XP you're getting for missions, you really should start on some archives (with which you can upto 700kXP), but you might want to think of getting a team for doing some of them as you'll get more XP and some of the missions are tough.

And yeah Access Nodes, you should really get all of them done, you can get some really get XP from doing them, especially DT.

As Aqua noted in his post, the time issue really is important. Even if you're doing missions on hard, you can be sabotaging your per mission XP haul pretty badly by doing them too fast. It's possible with disguise/sneak, lock picking and PC hacking to do many mission types very quickly (Infiltration is good, but so is assasination if you've loaded some powerful sneak attacks)... but you can end up doing them too fast and get the anti sploit XP nerf.
