#3630043211303/27/2008 05:25:39data node one´s "server status" is fake right?
since the servers were down for a restart I decided to browse DN1 and the boards. the little server status window showed each server as "open" though I know they were down. so this window is not really a live status window right? just decoration? regards, T

I just use DN1 for its forums, so yeah, I can't log on either at the moment. So put two and two together and I'm assuming that function on the website is not working properly.

Apparently that 'status' has not worked in... forever. Ok maybe a slight exaggeration but yeah, it doesn't work. The whole main page needs updating imo, but that means getting someone to do it, that means money...

Under Monolith, the server status worked, ever since SOE took over, on the migrated DN1 and the new one they designed, the server status has always just been static text.
So Telemancer, you're right. It is fake, unless the servers are open in which case it is true.

Just an FYI I plan on reinventing the server status script I made during the time the test server was up and running. The only downside to the script was it only told you if the margin server was up and running...not if the server was closed or admin only. As far as I know there is no legal way to find out that information heh.
