It was one of the most hilarious fights I'd ever had because of me getting nightslife down to 10 hp while in a 2 on 1 fight. I did have neo frag, pda box, and smith virion though.Actually Hate ta break it but. After doing some rouge info farmer hunting. I found officerman. She was atop a building and so i decided wait until she was out of MShadow and taping. HJ up to her area. Root her. Shoot her dead. but before hand I had nightslife pm me saying to stop killing me and such. Soon then He gave in and letting officerman died saying to kill me and such. i denied and said id savor this moment. While her kept trying to IL me. Sad thing is a ran a bit a distance. He went right back to info farmingIf you kill them both, they usually leave for awhile if you got a group (of even just 2) to kill them and take the tap.
Think that explains enough. Have more also. But thoguht id just like to point out. Officerman and Nightslife are both the same person. One is just a Male RSI, and the Other is Female. As in to try and throw people off

2 people cannot take a group, and that will be enough to kill. If you cannot kill 2 simple people, then you really should practice pvp before farming.
I just don't understand the issue with farming, just like everyone else did when DM first came.

On Recursion, there are two info farmers always in datamine. And what they'll do, if they die and have the datatap, is wait before reconning, until their info farming buddy darlin...erm...anonymous1 is ready to pick it up when her buddy geag...erm...anonymous2 recons. They leap-frog this, over and over and over, ensuring control of one datatap at all times. The ones on Syntax do this too.
By the way, I've seen nightslife and officerman work together to kill people so I'm pretty sure they're different people.. at least some of the time.
I'm gonna go kill them now.

The construct is made to make info
Indeed it is, and no one's trying to say that the players just trying to make info for themselves are in the wrong somehow.
But when a person spends every waking hour of every waking day inside of datamine farming over, and over, and over, what do you think they're doing with that info?
All naivity aside, lets just flat out say it: they're selling it online. This is a violation of just about every MMORPG's EULA, including MxO's.
Of course, those who benefit from this practice don't tend to see it as wrong, hence my previously mentioned stance of not listening to that particular demographic.

Not only that, but those practices cause serious inflation in any MMO's economy. Ever wonder why some of the best gear in other game cost upwards to 100 million or more? currency farmers are the reason for it. Not only do these people create inflation, they also hurt the games you like to play by way of sharing accounts or charge-backs (more about them here http://www.massively.com/2008/01/14...n-smedley-pt-2/). This actually causes the MMO companies money in the long term which is why some decide to raise their rates to cover the extra cost.
Anyone who plays the game legit, should feel very outraged when hearing of info farmers and not feel shamed.

We know they are sellers, but how can we prove it to a CSR?
Simple really
Have people check them (you'll need a few people to cover a 24 hour shift) on /who in datamine at the top of every hour. Screenshot everything.
If they're online continuously and consistantly, it's more than likely that people are taking shifts on those characters.
Get in their faces and kill them. Log every conversation.
Once you have enough evidence, report it.

Wait a second, so your saying that farming... which with the addition of this construct enhances is wrong. So everyone should drop farming?
As far as I knew this game has different ways in which you can enjoy it, farming rare items, or info for items, or even a friend is wrong? Should we therefore ban CQ farming for other people cos it ruins the gamers e-peens?
If I gave a new friend, 1bil, that I spent hundreds of hours farming... am I wrong?
If they want to farm let them, it's the same as PvPing in my eyes.

If evidence is there that strange info transfers are being made then so be it.
P.S Before you get high on the info farming for Faction funds, A) Many factions do it, B) It's not true, and C) Before an MA league I farm billions.
TH
In this case, if you simply engage them in conversation they'll tell you all about it. All we need is a GM/CSR to jump on a normal-looking character and pretend like they're datamining too.
CSR's should be able to pull the chat log and thats enough proof I would think especially if multiple people get them to admit they are info farmers.

I wouldn't reply, especially from the above shots.

No, you misunderstand, and I probably wasn't clear. The thing I'm being annoyed by isn't the act of farming, but more so the act of currency farmers farming and then selling the game currency for real money. if you can farm 1 billion, on your own, without sharing your account, without exploiting, buying an account from ebay, or purchasing the in-game currency, then great. That's wonderful and I hope you enjoy it, however once you cross that line, I'll start shouting for your permanent ban.
I'll give you an example. I've been playing Lineage 2 for the past year. I'm having tons of fun and found an incredible faction, however the game's economy is seriously screwed. Everything costs so much to buy. Low grade weapons easily cost 1.2 million and you can buy them in town shops. Potions are 600 a pop, and armor is just as bad. Currently I'm level 40 and I just started finding about 600 bucks on the mobs I can kill, which doesn't buy a lot. However there are ways to make money and I have to do it if I want to buy armor as I progress through the game and upgrade my stuff. I've seen a weapon that's the best in the game be sold for 220 million easily. About a month ago someone was selling a top weapon for 1.5 Billion! Plus it's a known fact that bots run around and farm. I've seen them in that game. My guild has killed many of them, but as long as people ebay and pay real money for currecny this trend won't stop and everything will keep getting expensive.
