Familia Grigori is not new.
We are the mass of a former faction that had been rattled heavily due to leadership instability.
We seek many things in this world, but what we seek singularly is stability for our Family.
We seek a time when one sentient mind is allowed to blossom to its fullest potential.
We seek multiple goals and the freedom to exact them without hinderance of friend.
We seek a time when we can take our time and use it to produce a better future.
We seek a time when people of all species are given the freedom to be.
We seek many things because we are ever growing, in mind, and number.
We seek not for the sake of seeking, but the fruits it bears
We seek because we want to, nay, we need to.
We are the seekers, we are the watchers.

Our family members are granted these freedoms, and are expected to defend them.
Freedom to Live
Freedom to Live without fear of Deletion.
Freedom to pursue happiness as long as the joy does not intercede with any other persons goals.
Freedom to believe whatever creed they wish.
Freedom to dress however they desire.
Freedom to voice their objection, or consent in any Family Matter.
Freedom to voice their opinion and beliefs.
Freedom to have their beliefs respected
Freedom to a fair trial and to have justice served.
Freedom to think freely.
If we had joined the Machines, our exilic family would not have the Freedom to Be.
If we had joined the Cypherites, we would be condoning the destruction of the Freedom of Sentient Minds.
If we had joined the EPN, we would not have the Freedom of Varied Beliefs, or even a sense of stability.
If we had joined Zion, we would not have the Freedom to Pursue our individual pursuits.
And so we had all decided to join the Merovingian. Seperately we joined, together we met, and then we banded and became family.

I do not percieve us as fallen angels, but seekers of a better future.
We are generally a peaceful, diplomatic group, but can become quite deadly if our business is tainted or interfered with hostilely.

As far as I can tell, Familia Grigori is the only roleplay-centric active Merovingian faction left on Recursion. The vanishing of the Devil's Advocates is a huge loss to the organization, to be honest, and the whole thing stank of ep*en-whacking. That aside, I'm no longer in the Crew business, so Merovingian roleplayers, look no further.

Related to this thread, and this is a completely out of character post, by the way: I can't be more supportive of this wonderful group of roleplayers. I stumbled across a small group of them in a club during my first week or so of poking around the game and my MxO experience went from "mildly interested" to "absolutely hooked" in that single evening. I've just been having a ball ever since I started playing with these folks and I've nothing but appreciation to them for letting me tag along. Fantastic people that make fantastic playmates in a fantastic game atmosphere/setting for the backdrop to all the storytelling = the fun, and lots of it.

Depends on how you define "bind", I suppose. I like to think of it like the bind-ing of a book: without it, you just have a pile of easily disarranged pages, but with it, you have a useful and easy to carry compendium of information.
