Humm... Well, we got a mysterious program we aren't supposed to mess with, and an invitation to babysit...some time. Seems pretty weird, but I guess if it's really as important as the Oracle says, we oughtta see something come of it sooner or later. Ooh but I just hate the waiting!

Poor Tranta.... always getting picked on.... tee-hee *giggles*

Weird call indeed, I guess we'll see what comes of it.

I'm totally not ducking for cover in that first shot. Totally.

((missed my chance to see the Oracle in-person...*CENSORED* spring break trip SMILEY ))

Hmm...I guess the Oracle wants us to know she'll be either hiding or gone soon. The program she gave Veil...is this maybe what they're looking for? Or perhaps a distraction from the real thing?

Veil...cut down on the sugar next time. You seemed a little giddy.

/nominate Chloe as babysitter.

Hush you, Veil is a lot of fun :)

Must've given it to you because she figures your policy of ignorance extends to programs.

Even if she dies, it doesn't matter. Never has. But goddammit I'd be pissed if our stupid little crusade here curred little more than the disfavor of Halborn.

We'll just see how this develops, though...

I have never professed to understand all of what the Oracle sees, but I must say one thing... this certainly appears to be one of the.. most questionable decisions she's ever made.
#36300426411 03/17/2008 21:37:28 Re:[9.3.4] We got a call, dearie - Syntax - 3/14/08

Maybe the Oracle trusts those who protect the innocent as well as the ignorant. Either way, suddenly I'm very worried for her.

#36300426412 03/17/2008 21:40:53 Re:[9.3.4] We got a call, dearie - Syntax - 3/14/08
Well, protecting innocent programs seems to be something they certainly aren't very good at.

Erm, I trust Veil knows what she's doing and not playing into whatever scheme the Oracle has planned for her.

Theres days I'm glad that I'm the simulations resident insane *CENSORED*.

It makes me not have to care about things like this.

Just...wow.

Agreed. Outwardly, this decision of hers is absolutely insane. Although, as usual, I'm sure she knows something we don't, that will give this move some legitimacy down the line.

I hope.

It's 100%, pure, uncut insanity, that's all. The whole thing. I don't care if the Oracle knows what she's doing; this is a very, very weird way to go about it. Masked psychotics looking after an Exile child! And the Oracle and Veil talking like they're best buddies who go shopping together on Saturdays and have lunch together on Wednesdays.
#36300426515 03/18/2008 07:28:37 Re:[9.3.4] We got a call, dearie - Syntax - 3/14/08
I agree completely. I just thought it'd be amusing to get that out of you. That's like looking in a penitentiary for children's day care. I can make some sense of the fortuneteller's charade, but I think this takes the cake.

Maybe Veil is the new One ^_~

And Chloe, I don't think thats such a good idea... you don't have such a good history with protecting Exiles. (( :p  ))

I can't believe the Oracle trusts those who have no goal or purpose.
#36300426677 03/18/2008 12:57:19 Re:[9.3.4] We got a call, dearie - Syntax - 3/14/08
It seems to me that the Cypherites were the only logical choice. Mervs are out the door instantly, regular Machine bureaucrats would be too busy fumbling over paperwork and stroking their own egos about how "super efficient" they are to be effective. Zion and EPN, in the end, would never prioritize Sati as much as someone who is an advocate for the continued existence of the Matrix because in the end - she's just another program to them. Who is to say that Zion and EPN wouldn't use her as some means to disrupt the simulation's stability, and cause mass awakenings?

In the end, Sati is an integral part of the bluepill dream. Since we aim to preserve stability at any cost, it's only natural to assume that we would treat the protection of Sati like any other mission. We'll protect Sati through any means necessary.

well said Marias, but I wonder if the oracle didn´t have some other reason for entrusting these valuable items to the cyph?...we´ll have to wait and see.

You can say what you like, we will honor our word to the Oracle. And no words, or deeds, can stop that.

Tch.

I disagree, actually. ( >.> )

Many believe that Sati's real purpose transcends the boundaries of the Matrix, that there may be something to her that helps us collectively in the real world. E Pluribus Neo and most of Zion are willing to follow the word of the Oracle to the end of their lives. After all, Zion's continued existence is in part, due to her words and guidance. In all seriousness, they owe her the favor regardless of the war.

Though I'll agree it's common knowledge that the Oracle and Merovingian won't mix, the Machines and the Machinists are probably the most capable of keeping an exile like this safe within the system. They "guard all the doors and hold all the keys".

The Cypherite need for a purpose and it's supposed change in mindset once the lie of reinsertion was revealed doesn't negate the fact that Toorima is a psychotic killer. (But this whole thing might be some justification to the org, as we as a community insisted on it's continued existence.)

There isn't an obvious reason for this choice. There's something else at play here that no one else is capable of seeing, except maybe the Architect or the Merovingian, and even that is questionable at best.

Fragment hmm? I trust the other Cypherites will look after this fragment and decrypt it soon. Watch over Sati? As in the Oracle won't be able to do it herself? If something happens to her before I get to meet her for the first time I will beat whoever harms her to bits and fragments...And why can't Seraph watch her? Not that I mind the Cypherites being assigned such an important task....

Hmm, this news raises questions.
