Your choice depends on what do you seek in this game.
If you want to "roleplay" the deepest aspects of the Matrix Universe, in a serious and adult fashion, then Fenshire is right: The Trust is your best(and probably only) choice.
If you are more inclined towards the "pvp"...well, I suggest you to look for another game, because player versus player combat in this game is...meaningless.

I'm not lying. Pvp can be...fun(in your opinion) but still, it's meaningless. Look at other games: they have rewards or titles that even reflect your skill as a pvper in the "history" of the world.
Here, the only thing we get for PvP are the CQ's. What are the meaning of this misterious points? Nothing. Therefore, PvP here is meaningless.
