I'm convinced somewhere down the line we will see another motion picture. By time Revolutions was done, could you blame them for cutting off all ties to it? They wanted to expand their resume and do some other things, and so far they have been successful with V for Vendetta and soon Speed Racer. However, down the road, I have a feeling they will have a renewed interest and return to the franchise that made them who they are today.

The thing that bothers me though is that if they make a fourth film, I seriously doubt they would take events that happened in MxO.

This would be excellent.

I agree, if another movie is to be ever made again, a prequel would be the best. After the events of The Second Renaissance, anytime before the first movie.
