I wonder if this will be related to the Resident Evil 5 game in any way.
I donno, the trailer for 5 was on this disc too. It looked strange, ye saw chris and all that but they didnt look like zombies(or act like them)...a bit like Leon and 4.
Richard Waugh (sp?) does an awesome job with his voice, when I played Code Veronica X at first I was sceptical but I have grown to love his awesomeness with his new voice! (The Resident Evil remake Wesker was a pure dull VO ) Seeing as Resident Evil 5 has Chris in it, I can see Wesker being in that rather than this movie, they seem to want to have a big Chris Vs Wesker thing going on.
Capcom Japan’s representative director and president: Haruhiro Tsujimoto (Capcom) and Sony Pictures Entertainment Japan representative director and president: Ken Munekata (SPEJ) have announced coproduction of Resident Evil: Degeneration, the first full-length CG animation feature based upon the Resident Evil series of games and movies. Currently in production, it’s got plans for a terrifying release in 2008.
Seeing as they released the trailed for Resident Evil 5 in the middle of 2007 and that isn't out till 2009, I expected this to make it to the rear-end of 2009 too
Either way, I cant wait to sink my teeth into a new Resident Evil (actually canon) chapter, pun intended!
I enjoyed this movie so much more than the previously released ones. Far superior, the only issue I had was some of the lip movements looked off for the words said, but in fairness it's still CGI so it can't be exact. Either way, the story, characters and feel was so much more like the games. DvD is out in January.
Being the giant Resident Evil fantaic I am, I was appauled by this CGI adventure. There was no Wesker.
That aside, this movie made me so happy inside. I loved every minute of it, and how it all comes back to Racoon City. I can't wait for Resident Evil 5; which conveniently is two days before my birthday.
But the film as a whole was fantastic the CG was well done and it was everything I expected of the resident evil series, I hope it is succesful and will make capcom produce more of them.
