Just wait till the FH squad comes in. Then we'll have some real fun.
It wasn't the full FH squad, but there was a team of FH running around cleaning people up. I actually ported into Datamine twice.. right next to them. "Aww man..."

Admittedly, it bugs me when someone notices that you're fighting a data mining spawn and ganks you.
But if you're just tapping a regular node, you can stop, drop, and roll into combat pretty easily.

Props to the people that are basically there to kill people.. but let you finish or even help out on some of the harder spawns.. and then attack. Honestly, super cool of you, thanks.
No props to you people that try to gank (always more than one) someone fighting a Data Mine spawn. Especially after I ask nicely, "Hey, think I could finish this first please?" If I didn't want the stuff at the end of the spawn, I would have jumped. Yeah, it's pvp zone, yeah you can attack whoever you want. Play how you want I guess. Be a jerk. It's cool.

I'm guessing the info farming will keep people coming back in.
I don't know about anyone else, but darlingchild and geagle(somethin'
are people I actually go looking for to hunt down and kill when I see them on /who.

On the flip side:
From those of us who dislike PvP - I hate it.
1. You give a free ticket for ppl to be pvp a-holes to others ...nice going RB and gang. Thanks.
2. When you die, you reconstuct in the normal Matrix - w/ full Rez sickness - *CENSORED*? Uhm ... yeh that helps ... not.
3. Ppl like to attack you when your already busy with NPCs spawned from nodes ... nice ... more examples of ppl being jerk-offs.
4. Thanks for giving the CQ farmers an excuse to harrass ppl to get those stupid CQ points.
5. Thank you RB and Gang for catering to the likes of a small group of players (Super Secret Club). The rest of us don't appreciate it and still feel sort of left out.
I guess I'll have to wait a few months for the novelty to wear off. And then it will be empty like the other battlegrounds and THEN maybe I'll find it 1/2way tolerable.
No sir ... I don't like it.
And I am sure you all are going to flammen me out for this because you're all so in love with it. You all go have fun ... I'll wait till you all get bored with it and then I'll give it another try. Perhaps I might like it better if I was a tad better at some PvP. I do admit it is my weakness because I NEVER was a PvP gamer. If someone/s would like to help me learn more PvP - IN a friendly setting - I would appreciate it very much. But not like this!!
1. It was a free ticket before this.
2. Why should this place be different than any other place. You die, you get "full Rez sickness" It happens once you get past level 8.
3. Already commented on that.
4. They already had an excuse. 1 and 4 are very similiar.
5. So, I'm slightly confused here. Reading DN1 and talking to a lot of people across all the servers, the general consenus is that people like this new addition. And I don't only talk to PvPers.. nor do only PvPers post on DN1 (you just proved that). After FFA PvP was introduced with the Joker event, there was a LARGE crowd of people asking for an area with FFA PvP. And I don't even think that's your beef. You just don't want it to be PvP. You do know it's a construct, yes? All the other constructs are a PvP area. It's part of the design. It's why there's loot drops in those areas that you can't get anywhere else in the game. And the challenge to get those items? You're PvP flagged. You have to fight a high level boss. Datamine is no different. You're PvP flagged. The loot drops in this area that you can get no where else? - 100k+ per tap data nodes. High level boss? - well.. FFA PvP, various left over Data Spawns, PvP a-holes as you put it, level 255 agents that you can't escape from unless you actually leave Datamine. I'm sorry you don't like it, but that's how all the constructs are.
What would be the point to have SO much gain with absolutely no risk? Where's the challenge? Where's the entertainment?
This isn't a flame, and I'm not in love with the area. But I DO like it. I've always liked all the constructs. And you don't have to be good at PvP to enjoy it. I know people that openly and publically (darn near proudly) say they aren't good at PvP. And those people like the area too. They are having a ball.
If you're level 50 (I'm sorry, I don't know who you are) use Master Shadow if you dislike PvP in a PvP zone that much. Hell, I'll even code it for you.
