ATI Radeon 2600 XT AGP Series Bugs

Argh! Flu and Gastro at the same time in 40 degrees celcius is NOT fun.
I think my EJP almost triggered.

Anyway... I had a look and as far as I can tell the problem is that the drivers for vista and XP have been amalgamated and don't provide proper backwards compatibility.
The next driver release (They are currently pushing out a hotfix) should have a separate version for XP and Vista.

Your best bet is a downgrade. Remove the current drivers and install the ones that came with the card.

Probably about a month, but I'm guessing.

Here are a list of older versions of XP drivers for your card, and you can find the older Vista 32bit drivers here.

Well it seems as though when i turned off the option "Load Sector LODs" and maybe cause i changed my useropts, it is currently:

Update:

I fixed the lagg problem within the indoors using the 8000 series fix:

modellighting_enable = 0
modellighting_ambadd_r = 0.33
modellighting_ambadd_g = 0.33
modellighting_ambadd_b = 0.33

But i still get the checkerboard look
