i did the 14 day trial long ago. had hard time with controls and such so i left. rsub my station access. now i need pointers in leveling, equiptment,etc. give me rundown please.

If you're in the tutorial, double-click, or if you're outside the training area, drag it from your actions panel (hotkey is O).

wow, looked at the marketplace, everythings expensive. guess it will be awhile before i can afford anything cool looking or useful

Don't buy anything from the Marketplace. It is more profitable to farm for it yourself, and such sort of farming (for instance, farming for a certain subroutine frag for crafting) usually results in even more $i in the long run.

The Marketplace is for lonely people. On the other hand, farming is for lonely people too... most of the times.

Another way to look at it is, the market place is a place to sell things and get rich more then its a place to aquire items. Obviously it can be used for both but one use greatly out weighs the other.

Also, which ever catagory your shopping in, be sure to click the 'MORE' button until you cant click it any more. Its green and up in the top right hand corner of the window. If you dont do this you will not see the entire market, but only a small select group.

You know... that's a very good tip. I didn't know about the 'more' button myself, phor over a year. O.o
