I'm getting a funny feeling about that man-thing. Either he's completely wacko, *or* he's up to something--something big. Names have been dropping lately, and I'm getting just a little suspicious.
Ooh, and x's and o's to Fyror for being such a dear! I'm still in stitches over him getting Quasimorphy to accept that blue pill. Hah!

I think the watchers are fallen angels. Fallen angels are angels that have been exiled or banished from heaven. Heaven in this form would be the Matrix. The only person that comes to mind is Seraph (maybe I'm just tired) but his name comes from Seraphim which is a six winged fiery angel, a guardian full of light and energy.

Not actually the Bible. At least not the mainstream one. I think Jubilees is from the Dead Sea Scrolls.

(( Awesome set-up of just popping into this guy's mission area and recruiting him for a storyline/story character-based mission. For an MMORPG, I'd consider this a dream scenario of unexpected story-based interaction. I know if I were in Fryor's shoes here, my head would have exploded from the sheer insane coolness of what had just happened. ))

((Ahh, I enjoy reading about events like this; partially because I would like to be involved in one myself, and partially because they feel so much more realistic than a large group of people quoting the movie. That ain't OOC at all in my book. Mission teams, interface buttons, slash commands, "typing," is all part of the simulated operative interface running in everyone's head. I understand people may have different opinions about that, but that's how I treat it. Trying to work around these basic realities of the experience with elaborate explanations just comes out worse. Accept it as part of the simulation interface experience and it all becomes a whole lot easier and less self-contradicting, plus you can actually talk to people in a straightforward, businesslike manner, instead of being lost in a sea of pseudo-sci-fi mumbo-jumbo.

When I saw "writing" and wall references, I was too quick to reach for The Book of Daniel: well done to LtCmdr_Tsusai for finding the correct reference.
Things seem to be falling in to place now... Lo Ruhamah is likely being regarded by the Morpheus simulacrum as a contact towards communicating with the Antediluvian/Seraphim. I'm guessing that their assistance is being sought for a coup of some sort: either that or they hold knowledge which will assist to this end. My money is on The General being considered the sim's "father".
Looks like we might be getting another visit from Balthial, and may be his chums this time too... (?) Some commentators have referred to Watchers as Sentinels; just throwing that out there...

Actually, I liked what I saw in this event. Reminds me of the old days where Morpheus would just pop in to say "Hi, how are you. Keep the faith, pressure the machines, etc." without it being a real LE. Player <-> LE character interaction was a big plus. Bring it back you can do it!

That book of Jubilees reference has a tie to Noah. Strangely enough there is a current mystery on vector involving a certain Jubelo character, Which has a few references. One of those is in the story of Noah's son. I wonder if this Is connected with that in any way. Also the neighborhood watch is involved with jubelo mystery and there have been references to The watchtower and for some odd resean the Battlestar galactica series. Gah! This is all it turned out to be. Personlll and I investigated this for hours after it happened. It took 30 minutes for him to lead us back to the correct building. Then about an hour trying to translate the broken english. The follow up turned out to be an event in itsself. We even called in backup trying to translate. And by looking at the screens the conversion to english really twisted the event. We were told at the time Veil said the sim was the real Morph, and that he'd spoken about "the children of the city" and the player in the event thought he meant EPN so he would actually talk to Personlll and myself. by the end the player thought he was supposed to goto where EPN had been formed so we took him to the church and watched him run around for an hour trying to give his blue pill to npc's to try and trigger something. I LOL'd when I read this recap, and the language barrier event, though unscheduled turned an otherwise mundane night into an interesting one.
