I know what it is... since i'm doing the same thing too except you started at the bottom while i'm starting it from the top... though as slow as my other projects have been. hehehe...

Im using 3D S MAX in collage and doing a mixed course including the software.

Thats some nice work Demedrain, i can modle but i am struggling to get lighting effects right

Great, great work!  I have been inspired by MxO to jump into modeling myself.  I am still learning.  I'd post one of my works in progress here but I started with what many have said I shouldn't...the human body.  It's looking great so far but at this point I guess it'd be considered inappropriate for these forums.

When I first jumped into 3Ds Max I figured the modeling part would be the most difficult.  I was wrong haha!  For me so far its been texturing.  Envelopes and what not for animation seem to be a future challenge I'll have to tackle as well.  Great stuff here though and I'll post anything I think would be okay for here.

Here's one of me just tinkering and self learning as I go...I've since deleted this one and will likely start over sometime when I have a better idea of how to go about the construction.

So, I'm testing a few different textures.  Not really digging the rusty look.  Once I find/create a nice texture worth working with, i'll add more detail to it.  Got to make the bump map too.. this may take awhile.

Amazing! Love what you have so far.  I can't wait to see the 01 bots in their finished form.
