Wow...so much *poop* in this thread...
first off, it's hd dvd not hd-dvd

second, Universal has said many times in the past few weeks they will continue to support hd dvd, same with paramount
third, there is no such thing as a triple layer 100 gig blu-ray disc at the moment, they don't even seem to be working on it since theres no need for one right now. There is however is 51 triple layer disc in the works for hd dvd. Also hd dvd can also play up to 7.1 surround sound
fourth, this might show you guys a better look at studio support:
http://img207.imageshack.us/img207/...dstudiosaj2.jpg (the blu-ray list is missing lionsgate, but also remember that most blu-ray movies have different studio distributors in europe so I can usually import them since hd dvd has no region coding)
fifth, I think warner FINALLY announced the matrix trilogy for blu-ray. Why? Because it took Sony almost 2 years to develop the picture to picture feature on their blu-ray players, which warner uses in many movies. They still haven't come out with standalone players that will have web enabled features, which are called blu-ray profile 2.0 players. Those are expected to be released at the beginning of 2009, basically 3 YEARS after the first hd dvd player came out with the feature.
sixth, I enjoy my matrix movies very much on hd dvd

, I bought my player for 99 bucks at the walmart sale back in oct 07 and the A3 is currently going for 118 bucks on amazon with 7 free movies which still is an amazing deal.

(missing Ocean's 13, the 40 year old virgin, Ray and Patch adams in that picture that people borrowed)
