I would like to see some minor (hopefully) additions/changes to RP items in the game.

1) It would be cool if there were luggable versions of the items available from Prop Vendors. Many of these items are already effectively luggable in missions (i.e. if your invetory is full, a mission item will drop to the floor. This would facilitate theri use in Player RP's, allowing you to leave clues, drop valuables, etc.

2) Some items are mysteriously (at least to me) absent from the list of available Props. Im thinking specifically of Red and Blue pills. These would be really useful props for some Rp's

3) It would also be cool if you could get a Blank Mission Ticket. This would open up an area for use in an RP. Obviously there would be no XP,info etc. However, it would again be cool if there were usable containers in the mission, so that items could be placed for players to make drops/pickups.

Ok so my own critique first. 1)yes this could lead to people leaving worthless luggables all over the place. I presume theres a way to time these out so that they don't sit around forever, but if not, well...2)C'mon! this should be easy3)This has some potential to interfere with running standard missions, as there are limited spaces for mission floors in a given area. however, the population of this game is so light right now I cant see this being a major issue.

Any thoughts here? It's not like im asking for some radically new thing, just stuff that facilitates Player RP's.

My own opinion aside, you shouldn't plan things dependant on how the population seems at any point in time.  We have to be ready for it to expand. 


As optimistic as that is, I think the game itself was designed to support mission areas for enough people so that implementation of this sort of item would in no way hurt anything.  Wyou consider how many of these would actually be used at a given moment for RP purposes, I don't think they would bother anyone.

I was unaware that Red/Blue Pills were a semi-rare commodity item. I guess I just don't get the "valuable because its rare, despite being useless" attitude. What good are these, except for RPing? Seriously people, if yer collecting "rare but useless" Matrix items, you might want to consider getting a life, or at least a Real World hobby like collecting baseball cards or stamps. (Seriously, I decomped all of my Beta clothes except the glasses. They took up space and were ugly(the women's,except the glasses, the men's weren't too bad), and its not like I'm going to parade around in them saying "OOh, look at me, Im Beta!"SMILEY<img mce_tsrc=" /> Anyway...

And, yeah *sigh* I guess we shouldn't assume that there wil always be so few players, but... yeah, even at lauch when the game was full of people there were plenty of mish spaces available. I mean, think about it... practically every floor of every building in the game (excluding ground, and accesible roof, ledge floors) is available for missions. There's probably tens of thousands of such rooms available, at least a hundred per district, and in DT considerably more! i really can't see how the few people running RP's would seriously impact the system. There might be an initial flurry of people trying them out when they get released (just like the holiday tickets) but once the novelty wears off they'll basically be used for the occasional RP session.

And I guess other people have proposed these before, but, well I guess it doesn't hurt to keep asking.


Customizing props wld be kewl, yeah... like dropping a sheet of paper with notes on it. Collecting obviously useless items is a hobby for MMO-Maniacs, yeah. I mean it is OK collecting event clothes and stuffs that still work after the event but keeping items just for the fact they're rare is blank Bullsh@t. Don't say the female Beta gear looks crap. That outfit is the pwn. Even if you could buy those stuffs from clothing vendors I'd wear them cuz they look great

I totally sign for #1 and #3, but the redpills and bluepills make me too much cash for me to sign for, otherwise I would. SMILEY Sorry Psilody.

 As for the editting of props, I don't really think that's much of a big deal. I plan ahead and write up an email labeled *Data disk text* or whatever the prop is and explain it through email after I give the data disk away. It works just as well.

And as far as editting mission descriptions goes, just RP it out. There's an extent to what the devs can do in this game. Just RP some of this stuff out, but I still believe you should be able to drop stuff/leave clues. I'm getting tired of pretending there's a dead body/data frag on the floor because I can't drop it. So lame.
