  Speaking to yasamuu I was informed that 1 toughness grants 1 point to each resistance. 

 Nothing of this is shown in any of the bonus' screen info.  Are they therefore applied seperately - i.e stacking... cause otherwise it seems to have no shown benefit.

  Glimmer of the source is 6% as I recall.

Glimmer,  Zion Hardware Req and Merv Boon grant 10% Toughness as a separate buff from the Resistance Buffs. So it really adds 10 Pts of Resist, on top of your current Resist.
