As with all things dev, not everything comes in on schedule. In this case, the combat animation changes and tweaks planned for December 6 will be going in with the Winter Holiday Update on December 13. We decided to give QA an extra week to go through all the combat animations--yes, I said *all* the combat animations. There are an awful lot of them, but we wanted to try and ensure the tweaks didn't break anything.
So, there will be an extra little present in next week's update--a cleanup of combat animations for all!
And because I know someone is going to ask: Here's what I got as a description from Rarebit:
"The combat animation changes include tweaks and additions to bullet time for special moves and finishing moves, as well as a number of interlock animation fixes."
When Rarebit mentioned that there may be a little delay in the update I guessed it would be added to the Winter Holiday update. And I am looking forward to the Xmas event ^^
Seems like someone wants to chime in on the action, i would've though Virrago should have posted this.
I asked Walrus to post it " />
Well then you've done more than Raijinn ever could, so thank you very much!
Raijinn's a busy guy. It's not like he was lazy and didn't want to do anything. He probably didn't have enough time to be active in this community. He was covering 4-6 games after all. Though it is nice to have an active CRM, and yeah, Virrago, so far you're doing an awesome job. Keep it up!
I saw the number of animations back in the day. What was it? 10000 something? Mhm... if he means all ... does that mean ... we get to see all lupine moves ... properly now? =O

I've actually been seeing quite a few lupine animations working properly in the last couple of days. The flying headbut, the shoulder spin and slam... even the finishing neck maul/bite thingy (mind you, I won the round yet it played the lupine finisher...) so I'm not sure if someone has been fixing the database or something but the lupines are really starting to look.... lupiny (>.< I have no idea what the word would be... too tired...)
Hmmm now who here says we have no animator when it looks like from that said post and note that it as alot of the devs it seems working on the animations =P.

I've said it before, and i'll say it again. We don't *need* an animator. We have better. We have Rarebit!
I am looking forward to see what exactly is in store and what kind of revisions I can notice when this comes out, im excited, but i can wait...
The main thing is bullet-time finishers and special moves. I reccomend switching bullet time to always-on in your useropts and playing around with every interlock-based tree you have. I'm particularly interested in seeing full auto redux, machinegun kick, and dual pistol dash.
By the way, this update has been named 'Ralph' by Rarebit so we're going with the term 'CR2.R' to describe the combat system after the patch.
Rarebit said plainly 'Ralph'... I suggested the term CR2.R as in Combat Revision 2.Rarebit... but if he wants CR2.R known as 'Ralph'... who am I to argue.....
I didn't know you meant 2.Rarebit rather than 2.Ralph but I think it works well either way :)

Aye: Take your time and make the update rock the game instead of punctually deliver a crappy one

Ah well... it's not my baby, its Rarebit's so I guess he can call it what he likes.... I'm just excited about the update....
